I really hope they don't pull an Andamiro and say "WE HAVE THIS MANY SONGS!" and that includes the crappy remixes and shortcuts. If they have 80 *different* songs, wouldn't that make this the highest quote release in the US?

I know it did too, I check it every few days. I don't know why they did it so suddenly and why they did it at all, but I'm not complaining.

I'm pretty sure it means something like 50 songs without full versions and 80 with, so around 30 of the 50 songs have full versions? Maybe? Makes sense to me.

That's essentially what I'm guessing.

That there are THAT MANY full version songs on this release indicates an interesting shift in thinking for Konami. They always seemed to be looking for ways to bring Full Version back ever since it was featured in 5thMIX, but it's never caught on again. Maybe because it was "Power Mixes" or just a couple here and there and no real commitment to the idea. If this is being read right this is clearly different. I wonder if this is a test for future Japanese releases.

I'm hoping they don't just mean 30 long versions, that's kind of a cop-out to call them separate songs. I'm still not convinced the long versions will avoid the pitfalls that all long versions have suffered: they're just boring when it's the same steps to the same song sections. The video of that new TAG song had the same steps over and over, but it's been a while since then, so prove me wrong, KONAMI! Very excited about the Replicant D-action screen though.

50 good songs > 80 bad songs, anyway. One can't really say more songs is great until the full list is out.

Those 80 songs will include X2 stuff and I know how you feel about non-100% new stuff.

It probably is 80 songs...considering RDA will be around 7 boss songs.
I'm thinking about what percentage of songs usually end up having each foot rating.
With potentially 7 ten-footers there will also be a lot of easy songs to balance it out.
I wonder if we'll get any revivals like Kiss Kiss Kiss or Poseidon considering there might be remixes of those songs in this game.

Anyway, my interest in this game just went from "somewhat interested" to "very excited!"

Whether we get 80 different songs or an extra 30 full versions, the addition of RDA and everything else seen so far says this is shaping up to be a great wii title! Still wondering who Naoki collaborated with. Definitely buying.

OK...So far, we know that Sky Is The Limit is in, there's an RDA system, and there's more songs than any American release ever (not counting 2010 because it needs DLC to break 80 songs).

Just over 80 songs for all three of them I think... WITH all their DLC.

Not sure if it matters or not, but the news feed update has a typo. "Official webpage now say over 80 songs rather than 50."
