Vanessa is the first chart in a while imo that Konami made it fun with endurance challenging streams like the older difficult songs rather than gimmicks. <3 that chart so much...

I still don't get why, out of all the mixes they could've picked, they picked 2nd mix. Seems a bit arbitrary at the moment.

Didn't 3rd mix have a 2nd Mix Mode? And this is X3, so it would make sense to emulate 2nd Mix when that's what 3rd Mix did.

3rd mix didn't emulate it, there would have been no reason to. 3rd mix and 2nd mix were probably two modes of the same game where only variables were set to determine things such as song list and scoring mode.

2ndMIX mode in 3rdMIX used the 3rdMIX engine with the content from 2ndMIX.

Right, even 2nd mix retained the Vivid arrow skin which was introduced in 3rd mix. So if this is the case, if they want to keep the 3rd mix tradition, 2nd mix mode would use X3's engine with 2nd mix's song list.

I sure hope so. 2ndMIX emulated would be cute, but not very playable.

It was. Last seen in 3rdMIX, which is why it never got a Double/Expert chart.
