Those were the reasons I never played Paranoia much when I was little. The first time I played one was Paranoia Evolution on MAX PS2 US, and as soon as the song started and I saw that robot, I started freaking out. T_T

Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but does anyone else hear Don't Call me Baby from Madison Avenue in Kind Lady?

The person in the background [of Kind Lady] looks like someone I went to school with back in Elementary.

I thought this ever since Ultramix.

"Give me a steady beat."
I wonder if Kind Lady was commissioned to replace Don't Call Me Baby. Konami's written KOs to replace licenses before... (And I don't mean covers of the original)

Regarding Piece of Me/Playa, it,s even worse : there's actually a Bill Hamel remix of the song, which is actually the same instrumental as Playa, they only changed the lyrics and singer...

The Original Mix is the only one that appeared in DDR though.

He actually suggested Konami to use that remix but they rejected it so he made Playa instead.

How about ☆shining☆?
Why would Konami even make a cover of it in DDR X2?

They probably redid that song because they lost BeForU.

There are also instances in DDR where both the original and a cover of the same song are used at different points in the series.

And Paranoia Survivor Max on DDR Ultramix 4 had a buddha with Arial text. Accompanying banner.

Zukin-Man mentioned that Konami remade the Paranoia Evolution background on DDR Universe and the guy is weirdly smiling. A fan-made background of Paranoia Hades had a new paranoia guy. I found it on the early pages of the Custom ddr backgrounds thread.

So I watched someone play an extremely easy song on 2nd Remix. I didn't catch what the title is. I then made the assumption that it is Paranoia.
Little did I know that the title was "Let Them Move". *facepalm*

A buddha instead a robot?

Paranoia isn't the same without a robot (my opinion)

Also, I think in PARANOIA -Hades- if you count the jumps as 2 in Challenge you'll have 666 instead 662 Shocked

Not sure if this was ever mentioned, but on older DDR mixes (later digital 573 mixes) there are remnants of e-amuse being mentioned in text and images. Even in ParaParaParadise, e-amuse is mentioned, but obviously never used.

Also since this was brought up in my facebook earlier, Konami at one point tried to produce arcade style controllers for DDR, but due to a staggeringly high price, they never (were?) sold.

When and where was eAmuse first deployed?

e-amuse first came out on DDR SuperNOVA, although it was being used on beatmania IIDX way before that. I think the e-amuse images can be found on EXTREME at the very least, but since the whole game was re-done after 5th, you might find them on MAX and MAX2 as well.

We know at least on ParaParaParadise 1st Mix Plus there are images that contain e-amuse references but there might be some hints of it on even older mixes as well.

The first IIDX to use eAmuse was 9thStyle in 2003, after the release of EXTREME.

So e-Amuse must have been in the planning stages at least before EXTREME. Wouldn't surprise me if it was going to be in EXTREME.

The thing is, EXTREME used the PlayStation memory card slots like every other 573 DDR arcade. I just sifted through my EXTREME image rip folder and see nothing even remotely related to eAmuse. There's images and text related to memory cards and IR website passwords, that's it. I even went through the half-corrupted un-referenced images, nothing.

eAmuse was obviously being planned at that point, officially going into use the next year, but if there's nothing suggesting it in EXTREME so I doubt I'll find anything in the MAXes either.

It might not be actual images. I just heard it was referenced. I know at least in ParaParaParadise it had images...

But I can't say if the e-amusement images can be found on DDR at all, but it has been referenced in the game though. It might be very similar to the GFdm considering it was the only game series running e-amuse on digital 573 mixes. Like I said, I haven't personally gone through the games myself, but the people that have, have dug up some very interesting things.
