I'm not sure why this conversation is happening; there is a separate grade for 100%; it's MFC. It's a distinguishing accolade given only to the absolute perfect score. What more do you want? It is, in every way, equivalent to a new grade. There is only one way to get it, and it is unarguably superior to any other grade.
like i said, the MFC text that appears is just like the awards in ITG, its not a grade. if we're calling that a grade, border bonus is also a grade in IIDX >.>

Either way, in the end, it doesn't matter. Someone who gets 1 great and the rest Perfects/Marvs may call it black flag, someone else may call it 99%, someone else may call it AA or AAA, in the end, it boils down to 1 great. Who cares what the game calls it. DDR has to tendency to change the grading scale as it is.

Hes referring to the text, underneath the lifebar graph, stating a marvelous full combo. Quad star is definitely a grade

Ah, okay.
In other news, I asked Betson what their pricing was on SN2 upgrades and if they were making X upgrades or X2, and I got this back:
Super lame, really. It's such a shame that SN2 couldn't get out there more.

Paul - Thanks for you inquiry.
I am very sorry that you did not receive an answer on your request. I had sent it to one of our sale people to contact you quickly regarding these games.
These units are in various Betson locations across the country and it would be best to call you and discuss pricing and details.
DDR Supernova kits are no longer available and Konami does not plan on building DDR X upgrade kits at this time.
Please let us know where you are located and phone number where you can be reached.
I will then have a local amusement specialist call you to discuss specifics.
Regards,
Joe Ingui

Maybe they figure every arcade already has DDR in some form, but in that case, why wouldn't they offer upgrades? =/

Somewhere else? Ok...
Call Konami office in England and told "somewhere else," redirected to office in Germany. German rep says their distributor only understands German, you spend months learning German. You talk to the German distributor only to be told he is sold out and he'll need to check with Konami in France, he transfers you to someone who knows German (because he assumes you dont speak anything else), French office tells you (in German!) that their distributors speak only speak French...and so on lol.

I don't expect much new, but I wonder if they will have changed any charts around...

2nd round of location tests have started. There do not appear to be any major changes. The songs added in the second half of the first location test (ALL MY LOVE, CG project, 不沈艦CANDY) are all available from the beginning and it is possible to get Possession.
EDIT: Second Heaven is apparently a 14 now. No word on whether the actual chart is changed.\

News? The location test seems to just be the same version as the last machine.
I'd say we might have to wait until AOU 2010 in Feb. until we see some more big news. That is unless they announce a US location test machine before then.

That would be surprisingly early. Konami generally doesn't release games so soon after location tests have taken place. AFAIK, the tentative release date for the game is April.
