Watch the Black Eyed Peas song be Boom Boom Pow. That song's getting a lot of attention right now so if they include it that would be quite neat even if I don't like the song too much. It might be too recent, though for them to include. So I'm trying to think what the song could be... I hope it's not Let Get It Started...

Well, well, WELL...time for me to chime in on this year's DDRs, and this is a draMATICALLY huge improvement over X. For starters, the licenses are excellent...minus 'ICE ICE BABY'...but if I've said it once, I've said it 1000x, with EVERY US home release, there is always at least ONE license that leaves us scratching our heads asking WTH was Konami thinking... I mean seriously...Vanilla Ice?...come ON.

But anyway, I dunno how I feel about each system getting the same licenses and songs, minus the DLC. I mean, I understand it for the Wii. *shrug*

Moving on, I hear they're keeping the X announcer from the 'Disturbia' video....eh, I tune him out, so long as he doesn't just keep talking every 5 frikkin' seconds again. This is the 1st DDR since EX2 that has had licenses I'm completely thrilled to see. 'Closer', and 'Viva La Vida' are EXCELLENT choices, and while I'm surprised it's 'Disturbia' and not Please Don't Stop The Music, it's still a great choice, and don't get me started on 'Feel Good Inc.' It's ABOUT TIME! *LOL* And um, let's just say I would be flattered if Konami used my edit and steps in my simfile here for the official steps. If 'The Way I Are' has been licensed, too, then wow, another great choice. Diana Ross and Vanilla Ice are the only 2 that I'm a lil' more than meh about, but that's only 2. Things are definitely turning around in a better direction, IMO. X was an unbelievable disappointment to me...just didn't have that spark to make me enjoy it, plus the lack of KOs, but I am already eagerly awaiting this one. I'm sensing the same good stuff from this DDR like I did when we saw EX2's preliminary track list, and we all know how that one turned out. Here's to hoping it will be even better.

Actually, I highly doubt it will be 'Boom Boom Pow'. The general rule (from my observation) is that a song has to have been out at least in the previous year (in this case 2008) before it's released on a [home] DDR version. That obviously mean if they did wanna use this song, it probably won't hit the consoles until next year; if then. The obvious guess would be 'My Humps', however that would have some HUGE censoring (unless hey upped the ESRB rating), so my vote goes to 'Let's Get It Started', though they could go left field and license a song that wasn't released on the airwaves, like 'Pump It.'

I would love Pump It, haha.

Pump Is a great song and it's actually pretty known.

One license that confuses me is Boogie Wonderland... I'm not complaining because I love the song, but it's weird seeing two of the same songs in the main line DDR game (uk remix and this one)

Dream on Dreamer has its PV

X-TREME's version isn't the same song, it's more of a remixed reinterpretation. They added a rap over it and changed up the sequence of the lyrics and cut out some of the original lyrics.

I love the BG interface on DDR PS2 version, the city trough the day, is very nice, but the stages are boring... same X stages... i guess KOnami need more media with the BG videos of PS2 Version.

Well, 'WONDERLAND (UKS MIX)' is 2 songs in one. The rap vocals were originally performed by Salt-N-Pepa on their song 'Get Up Everybody', released in the 80s, and the chorus is obviously the sampled 'Boogie Wonderland' by Earth, Wind, & Fire, which we're getting this year, which was released in the 70s.

Also, thanks to Engrish, the lyrics are actually "up and kiss the butt of", NOT "up and kiss the body."

'Pump It' is pretty known?...hm, maybe I wasn't really paying attention if they did release that one as a single to radio stations...if so, my goof.

The song is very well known because it uses misirulou, and misirlou was used in the movie Pulp Fiction

I would envision for that chart, something like Put Em' Up, but unless we get some sense into Konami, I guess we won't see some Horatio-like rolls during this specific parts, BPM gimmicks, and gallops.

Actually, the only song I'd like to see from the BEP is Pump It. Or maybe Don't Phunk With My Heart if it has its PV. Actually, Pump It could be a really fun 11-12, but knowing Konami...
