Wow, so the rumors were true. I'm only half excited to see those licenses come back though, cuz now I'll be hearing people whore out the old licenses all the f**kin' time. And the new rating scale, yeah... they're hopefully going to re-rate everything, and not just that, but also correctly too, cuz Butterfly oni doesn't look like an 11 to me. Make that like a 9 or 10. I'm also pretty curious to see what new mods and gimmicks are being added other than shock arrows. Maybe this game will draw back the ITG and PIU crowds a bit more.

At first I didn't think that it would seem like copying ITG for DDR to extend the difficulty scale, but having it 1-13? In addition to shock arrows/mines? Looks like maybe TyTigeriku was right afterall.

Reading what lamespot said, I think we'll never, ever, see a mainstream game site give an accurate picture of a DDR game.
You'd think they'd be able to find someone who actually plays the game to write the article on it.
As for Butterfly, I'll believe it when I stick the game in my PS2 and unlock the song. I wouldn't trust a mainstream reviewer to know the difference between Butterfly and Cartoon Heroes.

Oh, and I expect the new rating system to not match up to ITG or previous DDRs. Likely as not, they've moved most of the 10s up to 13, and some hard 9s up to 11, so the same problem as before exists: No clear demarcation between the harder 10s (now 13s), so you don't know which ones are harder unless you've tried them.

Dub I Dub will appear on this game.

Is this true, or did a site just give out the wrong information. explain.

Wait is this going to be on the USA version of DDR X, or is it just confirmed that its going to be on DDR X AC.

...i think from Gamespot's view, its gong to be the DDR X US PS2 version...

Well E3 doesn't cover arcade games, just console games.
So they wouldn't be receiving any info about the arcade version.

And i seriously doubt they will re-rate EVERY song to extend it to 13 like what was done with IIDX.
They will more than likely just re-rate the newer boss songs, and probably a few other stupid ratings like Shades of Grey and Venus.

If they just lump all 10s as 13s, then there will be practically no improvement, just more confusion as the easier songs will then need re-ratings to be extend..

Oh alright, I know isn't that today? the test location. I hope we get some new videos, and many new information about the game. Game gets better and better everyday

I'm sure they'll rerate songs accordingly...

So it looks like challenge 'mode' (I'm assuming that refers to oni charts, but it could be a seperate mode in itself?) is gonna be turned into "Gimmick" mode, with lots of crazy gimmick things, and leave the Expert untouched. Seems like a good enough idea.

That's for the AC version, and don't count on getting any videos since Konami is very strict about bringing cameras and/or other recording equipment.
As Al said earlier, the most we can expect to get is textual information.

So, with all these gimmicks that are being mentioned, I wonder if they will have any effect on Edit Mode. All I can do is wait as no one cares about Edit Mode.

piepiepie75: I don't see the points in obstacles being exclusive to the highest difficulty. Wouldn't that just steepen the learning curve from Expert to Challenge?
