The Cartoon Hero's song doesn't sound that bad, I also like the memorial songs, but the Hatsune Miku sounding stuff is ugh , but that's maybe because I'm more into Techno and Trance over the EDM vocoloid stuff, that Absolute and Paranoia reference in the Bemani Medley though.

The new Cartoon Heroes lacks the energy of the Speedy Mix IMO but I still like it enough. The chart... not so much.

Also it definitely doesn't seem like it'd be 3+ levels harder than the original (AKA I'm still arguing the original would be a 14). I wanna see the Difficult chart and see how similar it is to the OG chart.

Dario easily ruined the song for me, outside of him singing I really enjoy Jasmine's singing. NC did a goodjob yet again, I'd lose my shit if he were to do a remix for So Deep.

It's okay. I like how the chart stays to the original stepchart at the 0:25 mark, but I can't help but feel like his vocals don't match with the song.

It's also heavily based off of the Extreme chart, but slightly easier in the beginning and at a few other points. So regardless of whether you thought the original Extreme chart was a 14 or not, I don't think this DSP quite deserves a 14...

the cover is just underwhelming vocal wise bc they used the wrong vocalists to do the song
I found Dario to do a better job than kanae tbh tho his voice isn't as deep as the Barbie young cover's male vocalist
I think the problem is that they used vocalists that don't really have fluent English (kanae has sung well in English before but those were mostly more simpler lyrics), and have the wrong vocal range for it; if they used different vocalists that have the proper qualifications that fit this zany song, I'd think it'd be more warmly received and this also sort of affirms my worries of them reusing the same artist for these covers from what I said earlier, kanae singing both of the Dancemania remix covers in a row, hopefully the next one spices up (perhaps an instrumental one is planned hopefully like so deep)

Here, we can listen better CARTOON HEROES cover. Obviously, is "cover" and it never listen the same than the original, however Jasmine keeps her voice with some voice hue as Barbie Young. But Dario makes me feel that he try to get to the tone to the original but he sounds bad. He sings as constipated. About nc, not bad. The dj keeps his style and sounds good.

Ngl the non-fluent English is kinda charming. And this song isn't coming to anywhere outside of Asia, so I can't imagine they cared about getting fluent English speakers.

In all fairness the only fluent in English vocalist they ever used in a while is Nicole curry though i highly doubt licensing issues are involved since we got dancemania songs in DDR X2 without a problem, and the gold cabs are presumed to be released in the us as they have an indicator fo how much the machine weighs in lbs which Japan only uses for meat shops, I can only see any touhou song after the game gets released in the US having licensing issues like with DDR A bc they'll mostly likely have to delay the songs for America and it's not worth going thru

Personally I'm a big fan of nc's new stuff, he really knocked it out of the park with waiting and reach the sky.

Besides, it's a lot easier to play ddr to edm then it is to exit tunes and 90bpm licenses

trance isn't the powerhouse that it once was back in the 90s/early 00s
nc's last trance song was aletrik, in jubeat qubell, from over 3 years ago
I highly doubt nc will go back to making his old-school sounding stuff he's fully switched over genres
also it's not dubstep it's more like trap music since that's in right now, so yes even dubstep is fading away and what do you expect from an game that's an sequel to an edm-themed installment in the decade of 2010, soon to be 2020, released in an era where Konami prioritizes their focus more on Japan, their mother country, than Western audiences that also to happen soak up more Asian stuff nowadays and aren't as willing to shell out for their games unless if it's an AAA title and none of bemani's games are so yeah don't expect more Western dance music like a few years back ik rip
