Z-I-v Summer Contest 2015 [Back to school, kiddies, the contest is over.]

I did not know about some of these programs that you speak of. I did have to cut and edit the video and the song and when I used Sony Vegas to render, I can never find an .avi rendering format that is small enough to distribute without too much problem. It's either really good quality, but like a GB in size or lesser quality but still 100+MB. mp4 renditions take less space with Vegas.

I have never seen options to turn off gimmicks completely, though it's probably because of my theme. (An old DDR 2013 one)
Wait, I forgot about Cmods
The non-four arrow SA were pretty much to force the player to imitate the dance, rather than just jumping on Left - Right.

For this, it's more that the DDR rendition of the Dance Evolution chart was kind of confusing, as in it kind of resembled the DEA choreography, but not really that well. The feeling of certain parts of the dance was lost in translation.

I hope this makes some sense.

So originally I was going to write an original song to back up some predetermined ridiculous gimmicks. But then I realized that this week is much less about the charts not being DDR material, but rather the song. This week is the opportunity to use a song that generally would be an unthinkable selection, and then making ridiculous gimmicks to go with it. And so, I came to this conclusion.

When I saw the theme, I immediately knew I was going to step something by either Ninja Sex Party or Starbomb. Initially, I was thinking about doing FYI I Wanna F Your A but I wasn't sure if I could make a great chart with that one. Eventually I settled on Regretroid, one of my favorite Starbomb songs. The chart itself is relatively straightforward, with some 16ths in the Expert chart during the verses, following the bass and synths.

Special file for this week:


I don't like music in spanish, but this is an exception. This song is 10 years old and tanks about an old woman who has to steal groceries because her retirement plan gives her not enough money to live. This problem still happens here in Chile, and nowadays is more common than 10 years ago.

Special file: I once tried to step it (when I was starting to make simfiles) but I never liked it (the steps) so I deleted it. Eight years later, this song has steps again.
