Sunkiss Drop is a lot less boring if you switch feet in-between each crossover and do the spin jumps =o

Jesus christ that would wear me out so fast.

Hahaha, I came up with the idea before actually playing the song. There are maybe two places where you don't switch feet, and it ended up being only one double-step in the whole song. It would look really cool, but yeah that song is draining enough X)

98 pounds, geez... I'm almost twice that (178). You must be a girl, lol. Never met a guy who was 98 pounds since they slip down the shower drains too fast.
Play my game Arcana Seal of Rimsala (SNES)!

"OMG KON!"
I would just like everyone to know I will probably be at BZN on the 24th to see the new stages, and get my level up. I am at level 73 right now. All unlocks posted have been confirmed, and I will confirm the new extra stages.

^I also have trouble holding down hold notes (I am a little bit light, and I have problems holding the up arrow in particular). I play DDR everyday, and if its not a school day, I end up not eating in over 24 hours (a very bad combined mix), so my friends to need to watch over me, and me make me eat. I went without eating for over 36 hours once, I lost almost 10 lbs. because of it. That was also one of the first days the SuperNOVA 2 test was going on.

I weigh about 130 pounds. I am about10~20 pounds underweight apparently...

Haha wow. I'm on the verge of being underweight at 5' 3, 105lbs but freezes hold for me on most machines I play on. I think it's to do with the pad quality ultimately and not your weight.

Good pads should be sensitive enough to know that someone's stepping on it and not that sensitive so that it doesn't misfire when you don't want it to. I hate pads that don't hold unless you weigh a ton. Annoyed

That's the first thing that I thought too, since my gf weighs just a little more than that. But she still has problems holding those freeze arrows.XD

Hey Guys,

Just a few questions...

I want to talk to my Local Arcade(bowling alley/Casino) manager now that I know we can unlock the new songs without having e-amuse coz I know dat they wouldn't probably get it, so that we can get a DDR SuperNOVA 2 here where I live. I don't know how to approach her, or what to tell her. If she is interested what information should I give her? Any good ideas so that I can REALLY get here interested. I know that if i play my cards right there is a BIG chance dat we can get it I just don't know what kind of information i should talk to here about. We have an Extreme machine that's why I want SUPERNOVA 2! Any suggestions will be very much appreciated! Thanx!!!!

So I guess I need to gain some weight or have the pad checked out. I am 5'10 and 160lbs, but I got tripped on the freeze arrows sometimes. For example: CurusStandard
Dead

What DDR game is there, presently?
So in my brief return, I am going to slowly but surely work on a new simfile mix called TEMPEST. Still workin' on it. Preview -->

Never had a problem here, either... granted, my sig says it all. I'm sure the pad is breathing a sigh of relief after I'm done Smile

No Freeze since I'm too light and I can't hold em down. :/

Wuh? How heavy are you?
98 lbs.
Woah. I'm 118lbs, 5'7(.3!), and I'm considered to be a real lightweight, but I can hold down freezes even with cack pads...

"...but where's MY machine"
Man, all you lightweights are making me feel fat. (I know that 5'10" and ~140lbs isn't bad, and a lot of it's muscle, but still...)

Anyway, I used to have trouble holding freezes, but then I played in a different arcade and it turns out it was just the crappy pads. I was happy. Smile

So before you blame your incredibly small stature, play in a couple of different arcades and make sure it isn't just crappy pads.

Yeah, I know how you feel. Where I am is probably the worst place in England for DDR, considering pad crapness...though there's a rumoured EM1 round somewhere with AAA-quality pads.

5'10' 125lbs, I'm kinda lanky and skinny. The arrows at our arcade take roughly 40 pounds to activate, and P1 left takes about 60-65. P2 is better in general, and I play there. I'm pretty much JUST heavy enough that I can hold down a double freeze if I jump onto it, then consciously even out my weight. A little more to the left if on P1 side. 40lbs still pressure is alot, but I can FC a good number of songs; got a 21gr FC on Be Lovin last time I went, and you all know what a pain that song is to FC. The pads work, they're just not very sensitive.

I once played on an ITG2 boxor with SN pads, in better condition than several ITG2 dedi's I had played on - the foot+knee holds on Bend Your Mind expert doubles held fine for me, and I hit those hands with all the other 4 holds keeping down properly. Ah, if only every machine had legendary pads like those. Cry

I am also still eagerly waiting for SN2 to come to our place, but last time (6th time) I reminded the manager was 2 months ago, and he said "we are planning on getting it, and will probably have it soon". Confused I had lost all faith in them to follow through with anything for a time, until they actually followed through with a recent request to turn up the volume on the machine. Green Grin About time, I had played for a year and a half on a quiet machine and was silent about it to the management.

I wonder if the SN2 hardrive could be searched through for the codes to unlock the hidden e-amuse features?

I would have expected more people posting in a DDR thread to be total lightweights. =P

Good pads shouldn't require any specific weight to register freezes; so long as you're alive (and aren't 6 years old), you weigh enough. Though I know the feeling of horrible pads; I remember playing a machine where I dropped both sides of the left/right freeze at the beginning of V, and it's embarrassing when the only two arrows to hit are sliding by, N.G.'d...

Don't have any problems now; 6'0" and 180 lbs. is good enough for pads of all conditions. =P
