Unlocking Extra Stage is about amassing enough total points in your set. You can pass Final Stage with a D and still get Extra Stage if you had enough points before hand. But the way Monkey Business works, a certain point tier will give you Beginner/Basic/Difficult while another tier will give you all those plus Expert. I don't think anyone knows yet where the cutoffs are.

And even passing Monkey Business with a full combo AAA doesn't give you anything else... yet.

I'm morbidly curious as to how they'll make a chart for Summer Fairytale.

I noticed something in the videos:

* The Local ranking data is not shown. that means you cannot post your high scores anymore if the game is set as "local mode".
* Rival data is not shown too. Maybe its too early. I don't know.

Am I the only one who thinks that the graphics in this game leave a lot to be desired? I've heard a couple complaints about the judgement font, but the song select screen looks very empty too. And the jackets seem really weak. From what I've seen, the one for SOUTH looks really bland, and even Monkey Business's looks pretty simple. Not to mention that Beautiful Dream's looks like it was made in Paint.

Other than that, though, I'm still excited to see what Konami has in store for this game. I like that some old Hottest Party songs are being revived, but I also hope we get some BEMANI crossovers too. And the stepcharts I've seen so far look pretty fun. Monkey Business looks like a blast to play!

I hope the DDR Festival/Strike old songs also came.

Personally, I can't wait to hear the clean audio for Beautiful Dream.

Right now BEAUTIFUL DREAM is the single most overplayed song on the game. It's a good song but I'm worried I'm going to not want to hear it enough to not want to play it real soon.

Local ranking data was never shown, at least in X3.

DDR doesn't show other scores out-of-the-box period. I've seen other players viewing rival data but I cannot find where to add it anywhere in the game. Maybe the website?

Maybe after a certain amount of respect points they'll move on to Xbox 360/Xbox exclusives. Koibito , anyone? It's one of my favorite Universe exclusives, and it's probably a good 12.

Am I the only one who's really lovin' the album art for THE REASON?

Since they seem to be adding songs from the Hottest Party series, maybe they might add some songs from DDR Extreme CS, specifically Max. (period) omg break out the hype gifs

It would be nice if Konami actually added more new songs instead of Hottest Party songs. Even during X3 they were dumping the HP songs onto the arcade. Well, at least the HP series is known for its quality charts that are stepped with the utmost quality and no one ever complains about how poorly stepped they are or anything, right? Don't you admire my edgy cynicism as I complain about konami.

I doubt it, most of Japan would have been sleeping for the past 6-9 hours. ;P

Yeah, there is a lot of Universe love out there. Melody & Mezzo in particular has 3 great songs and step charts from the series. Also who would not kill for Midnight Blaze (SySf Mix) on AC? Not to mention Tsugaru [or-if-is mix] and Maximizer and Murmur Twins charts. The latter charts could easily be inserted into the game.
