@al2k4: actually it's not related to your global offset you made. It's something they need to change the way how they actually sync per song. I bother myself to share you the sm files of selected simfiles that need to be re-synced, if that interests you. As a general rule (as always), they should sync together with the any kind of beat (4th beat in particular), beat usually in drum, bass form etc. Usually, voices, other instruments or sound effects don't coincide with the beat, so i found some simfiles there in official category that they actually sync with vocals or other instruments but not in beat distance. Out of 35 simfiles in the DDR X2 Official category, 23 songs need to be re-synced, the rest have good sync. Here is the data that i gathered. Try to play this sm files and you will know that there are certain songs that have the actual beat (drum or bass etc.) come late after everything (songs marked with * ).

EDIT: Other songs not listed are said to be synced correctly with or w/o assist tick, and so the songs listed above that don't have the "*" mark.

On some files, your sync changes do make sense such as A Brighter Day and Your Angel, which when I tried my original sync they were in fact too early.

In others the new sync makes it off sync for me where the step would come too late after the bass beat. One that comes to mind is roppongi EVOLVED ver. B.

I think the entire category needs another check sooner or later, but I appreciate you looking into those for me.

As i have said earlier, songs listed above with * mark (thus includes roppongi EVOLVED and Your Angel) actually have beats that come too late after everything else, thus you may hear like off when just listening, especially when assist tick is enabled. Try playing in either basic or difficult of roppongi e. versions, you can easily read their timing using new offset, because no matter what beats come late, steps still sync to these beats.

It feels late if I do put it back 0.030~, on all difficulties and renders it inconsistent with the other files.

Replaced Theory of Eternity mp3 with a much, much better sounding copy.

Why don't we move some simfiles over to the official category? They seem fine.
And how about Theory of Eternity?

The official category uses step data, offsets, and BPM values directly from the X2 AC data. When that data is parsed and converted it will be uploaded.

All the audio in the official category is from X2 AC as well, but yes, those files would not match up well with audio from other sources.

The 4 challenge charts from Replicant D Action...and maybe separate selection of the challenge charts of Chinese vocal songs.

They were all previously available in MARATHON mode, but that requires PASELI and many players outside Japan don't have it.
