Just played the new Keep it Movin by NMR (old but with new steps) on Heavy and Challenge...
Shock Arrows... T_T

Also got to play ropponogi or whatever evolved on standard. :/
Thought I would get it in Expert.

Wow... the game is multilanguage... its spanish sucks but at least is an advance.

I can confirm that roppongi EVOLVED's versions sound different...

However, unlike HP1 and HP2's songs, these are actually unique in that they aren't just chopped-up parts of the smashed together. They all sound essentially the same for the first 30 seconds, then you start getting into differences (I notice one version uses a whole bunch of piano in the middle, while another version uses synth. I notice there's a HUGE difference in the melody at the end of version C etc.)

It's pretty sweet actually. What the EVOLVED series should have been all along.

Er, let me clarify, its just a changeable side to the movement die, it has the dots 3x3...and yet there are 2 more grayed out spaces ahead of it.

Precisely. However, to add to this, I would never consider any pattern of quarter notes as double steps. For me, double steps:

1) must involve 8th notes or above;
2) must be on entirely different arrows (so step-jump also doesn't count - in fact no jump sequence can be a double step), and;
3) must involve a turn entirely away from the screen that is awkward to execute for some reason.

EotC is the classic example (measures 9-15 for instance). I wouldn't class either Trip Machine or BreAkdown as having double steps (Trip machine has the "double steps" either on quarter notes, or else it is sensible spins <3).

DXY! isn't a good example, IMO - the only complicating bit is a single 8th stream in measure 15 which is eminently spinnable (even I can do it and still FC), and making sure you start with the right foot each time on the jump-step-step-step-jump in measures 49-56.

Tyma: Imagine the "back heels" you describe (e.g. at the start of BreAkdown) but then immediately continuing into a stream (that puts you on the wrong foot to start and would need an awkward spin to pull it off).

Of course, your definition of an "awkward turn" may vary
