"IIDX hates me"
...and then we are to face the weirdness of Trip Machine Liv Mix once again...
Seriously, what's up with that chart?

- Something kinda irks me about in love wit you. It's like something that could pass as a song they'd normally play on the radio stations I listen to (Even though it's 148 BPM, I always hear it as if it's a slow song. ._.)
It should be 74 BPM. It would have been more interesting had they made it slow. =/

@Arctic Wolves: I kinda agree. The song is too slow for its stepchart BPM.

Nevertheless, nice song. as well as real -HIGH- Speed

- I wanna get this out of the way. SABER WING GETS REPETITIVE ALMOST EVERY TIME. Annoyed
Hey now, no need to knock it! Saber Wing is much less repetitive than stuff like Waiting 4 u and Slip Out. The chart is actually really fun, unlike some 13s. But I do agree with piepie, it's very tiring. The streams in the Expert and the Shock arrows in the Challenge are both very intense, for a 9 footer I mean. I'm usually less tired after Horatio Expert than Saber Wing!

Saber Wing is more repetitive than Waiting 4 u. Just look at the 5/4 time signature section.

Of course, repetition, if used properly, is never a bad thing.

Yeah but that section isn't the whole song. Repetitive doesn't mean that a few measures are just like a few others. It's supposed to build up to the slow part, y'know? I really don't understand how a song with BPM changes and time signature changes can be repetitive. The song overall is very well done, from a musical standpoint.

So what's that new graphic option they talk about at the bottom of the SPECIAL section?

- I agree with piepie on Uberterffen. Sure it's form the same person who made No. 13, only a bit more... darker and trickier with the steps, and really does seem SuperNOVA-esque-ish...

- It took me a while to get into Rin To Shite Saku Hana No Gotoku. Catchy. =P

- Can anyone notice the difference in ZERO's background videos of BOTH DDR and IIDX?
Ubertreffen, like No. 13 before it, is based on a Bach piece, though I can't pinpoint the original basis. The steps are really painful

Rin to Shite Saku Hana no Gotoku has to be one of my favorite pop'n music crossovers since 100 Sec. Kitchen Battle!! Looking forward to trying this using ITG r21 (until an X AC is available, if it's in the game)

ZERO and DoLL are alike in some ways, as exemplified by the BG videos. When I showed some of my friends DoLL's BG video, they immediately thought "Gundam"

On a slight side note, does anyone have the 2 minute version of Rin to Shite Saku Hana no Gotoku from the pop'n music 15 OST? I might use it for an AMV I'm making with a friend.

A bit off topic-ish but still releated. Someone mentioned that Ubertreffen seems like a Supernova Chart and I was kind of surprised that other people associate step charts with games. Like you can tell what mix a song came from just from the chart type. 4th mix had a lot of very long, but basic streams, 5th mix had a lot of chaos in its songs where they didn't really fit that much, 7th mix had a lot gallopy songs, SN used a lot more Afronova walks and turns, etc etc.

DDR X.... I haven't really played of DDR X sims yet to notice its step types yet.

Oops Ermm... that's not what I meant. What I meant is the video background they play. There's definitely something in the video that the DDR version didn't show but the IIDX version did show. Anyone care to guess what it is?

I think some people already know what it is...

There are scenes from original IIDX version of the videos contains blood on some characters, but the DDR X version does not...

In a way, I agree because some of those steps feel so far apart (which they are, but when they're in quarters instead of eighths, your perception changes). On the other hand, if this is what we got with a 148 BPM song, what would they do at 74 BPM? We know very well how much harder they like to make something when the BPM has been doubled. My guess: It would be a 7 on Expert.

I know this wasn't what you meant. Usually, BG videos from IIDX are cut to fit the DDR cut of the song and/or edited for some "questionable" content. I don't know what was cut as I've never seen the IIDX version of the video.

This song definitely uses repetition properly, since it's one of the best charts on DDR ever.

Here's what they didn't show on the DDR version. They didn't show the blood that was on several of the characters in the background video. (Halfway on the slow part of the song, and near the end of the song, where a guy's holding the green-haired girl. lol) And they removed it for a good reason too. They didn't want it to be graphic-ish.

There technically are no BPM changes in Saber Wing. The slowdown actually just another time signature change to three beat measures.
