I would love so much for A to get a new challenge chart (if it didn’t have one already).
Also wish it could use the IIDX cut of the song instead.

A already had Challenge charts when it made its DDR debut in Extreme, so that's not going to happen.
That’s what I meant by if it didn’t have one already, though it might not be impossible since numerous songs with challenge charts have received some form of “special”.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love the idea of there being no fixed limit to the number of charts a song can have, as is the case in Pump It Up. And I understand what you're talking about; honestly, I forgot the Groove Radar/X-Specials existed when I wrote that. Do I see Konami implementing either during World's lifecycle? Probably not, but... eh

They should bring back 3rd Mix's SSR (Step Step Revolution) difficulty name and use it as a repository for all the 16+ challenge charts, because there ain't nobody "dancing" to those.

I'm not familiar with this song at all, but lapix is usually some banger stuff so I'm looking forward to this one. The song is originally from jubeat clan...which explains why I don't know it because I'm beyond ignorant to anything after saucer fulfill

Another final trial? I’m not opposed to continuing the trials by any means but I feel like I’m getting mixed signals from Konami.

I don't think that's going to end anytime soon... (although it would be a banger to end on if it WAS ending)
I think that's just the final song in that specific Course Trial

Yes. All of the songs unlocked through Galaxy Brave say “Final Trail.” It’s just to denote it’s the final song of the course and nothing more.

Looks like ElectroCoin leaked that there will be a new DDR cabinet shown in 2026.

Just found out that DDR World is OFFICIALLY coming to Europe and the UK as stated by Arcade Heroes:
Only thing is... it's in a redesigned cabinet resembling the 20th anniversary cabinet.
The rumors are true......

Given this recent discovery, I may as well say that I think the 20th Anniversary cabs suck. They are just lazy reskins of unsold Dance Rush cabs, with shit speakers. I swear those speakers are so fucking muffled.

I thought it was just my arcade refusing to turn the gold cab up as loud as the older one. (Both of them get drowned out by the Pump It Up machine that sits between them)
The Gold cabinet also doesn't have any shelf to place your stuff on, and the screen isn't angled upward so the viewing point feels off.

The article only mentions licence artists who are already in the game so far. Not a good sign...

I don't think Europe's a big enough market any more to warrant extra global licences. Especially now it seems that StepManiaX has been really starting to steal DDR's lunch over here the last couple years.

Fun fact : Roll the Dice
And Survival at the End of Universe
Could be interesting for how much Konmai could stretch level 17s into.. at very least into around 850-900 notes range, or even reaching 900+

Yes, and the team at Electrocoin are trying to make the experience more realistic with new licenses but the licenses are the same ones that are in the previous game. I mean you would want to shell out a PS2 because the games we had on there had really great licenses. Even the PS1, Xbox 360 and Wii licences were much better than the licences we got. Take Fusion, for example. Who doesn't fancy a bit of Pet Shop Boys on the PS2 or Jordin Sparks on the Wii? These were all great licences, should we have more of the same? In the article from Arcade Heroes they said more to follow. Well that would be when the good old state of America decides to release their licenses just as they did with A20 plus. And to do that they would need to go online to update the Machine because the cabinet works offline and without online updates it will just be in local mode and no licenses will be updated.

Did anyone have time to see that new DDR cabinet at EAG? One thing I know is that they still had the Touhou and Vocaloid filters on there.
