Hi.
First, I'd like to say that I was overall kind of disappointed with this week. There were only a couple of files that I really enjoyed, everything else either went into "just okay" territory or was flawed at a glance. I'd also like to point out that 9 out of 20 simfiles here relied specifically on "sweets"/"sugar"/candy to qualify. It's not bad on it's own, but if over half of you agreed on it, it's kind of uncreative. There's so many missed ideas too (cheese? carrots? pizza? blueberries? grapes? broccoli? toast?). :c
With that said, here's my rankings. Only 19 files so I don't think a codebox is needed.

Nah, I'll take it. I always love seeing my files get points. :3 And I'm thrilled to see that I ended up not making something totally incomprehensible and not only averted 0, but also getting points from half of the voters so far. Thanks for the points everyone! ^w^

Cake By The Ocean: It's pretty good. Not fantastic, but that might have to do with the song (and I swear I've heard it before somewhere...). Also, I think the BPM is wrong at the beginning was a tiny bit too early but the ending was on the dot.
Cupcakes (Vocal Mix): Lmao this song. I think this could only be made more bizarre if you threw in a music video or even MLP graphics. (but then again this is coming from the person who tried stepping PaRappa the Rapper this round and has an illogical soft side for HAPPY TREE FRIENDS...) With that said, I find how late the file seems to end odd and the breaks during the challenge chart were odd. I thought everything else was pretty good though.
Dokukinoko Densetsu: Well this was bad... ._. There were really annoying doublestepping, step-jump patterns, and speed changes that weren't handled well at ALL, and the rest was kind of boring. I'd perhaps recommend trying to find a song that you really REALLY like, making a chart that genuinely flows well (Cake By The Ocean above is honestly a good example that's basic), and then try to make your simfiles based on flow. Step-jumps can be pulled off well, but they just felt used arbitrarily in this case.
EGG: Heavy got kind of confusing with the freezes, and some footswitches (specifically the side ones that go UR-RU) were very odd, but I thought it was relatively decent.
Fruit Salad: Started laughing in the middle of heavy. I think the only way this specific submission can be this funny is the fact that actually good steps were provided for a freaking WIGGLES song. The song kinda limits the steps being overly fantastic, but this is certainly a brave choice for a simfile that deserves some recognizion. XP
Ice Cream Cake: Wasn't really feeling heavy. Challenge had a certain jump followed by a down arrow where, if you impulsively faced left like most people tend to, you would've had to do a very complex crossover pattern at a high speed and it's a little...off for my tastes. Otherwise, not bad.
Love And Kisses: I appreciate the attempts to make the stepchart interesting, but the 16th streams... might be a little much. The audio volume/quality might have something to do with why this was also underwhelming (and it's also pitchy??). But by no means a bad chart at all.
Marmalade: Damn, a 5 footer heavy and 4 footer challenge? O___o; I think they're both pretty cute, though! I can totally see someone getting a PFC while madly freestyling. XP
Mille Feuille (Omoshiroebi Remix): Good stuff to be had here. I enjoyed it more than your other simfile this week.
Milky Berry Sweet Time: Keh heh, those stops are hilarious. XP This is definitely a solid submission, and while some parts were weird, I still really enjoyed it.
My Salsa: Nice! I like the variety with this song, gimmicks were easily telegraphed, and the steps simply seemed as though I've known the song for a while (even though this is my first time hearing it) and felt natural. Good job here.
Punk Rock 101: I remember absolutely loving this song as a kid, then forgot about it. After listening to it again... ...it's quite underwhelming. :/ My music taste really has changed since then. Steps are good for what they are though. I'm pretty sure the steps are late though (by around 0.040s). But bonus points for thinking outside of the box here!
Renge Chance!: Some of the tempo changes were kinda hard to predict, but this was moderately entertaining. Challenge, very oddly, ended up being quite underwhelming, but that could have to do with the song. Nonetheless, this simfile's definitely a good one, I just preferred other sifiles.
Shakawkaw: Average. Surprisingly. O__o But it might have to do with the song itself. Either way, you did what you could with this song and I kind of like it.
Sugar Conspiracy Theory: The video seemed choppy. Otherwise, heavy was pretty nice (one of those spins messed me up though). Challenge was honestly kinda cool.
Sugar Rush: There's technically nothing wrong with it, but I began to get bored in the middle of the heavy chart. This song just has too much repetition. For challenge... well... ...I'm sorry, but this song is better fitted for a stamina chart instead of for trying to.
Sweets (Soda Pop): Steps are... just okay. There's two doublesteps at b60 and b132.750, the 16ths are all wrong and should instead be 24ths or 64ths (basically one 64th down). I think the boringness of this one stems from the song, which is ironic for a song called "Sweets" (but then again, aren't 9 of the songs in this round about sweets/sugar/cake/etc.? come on guys, you can be more creative than that...). As for the video sequence, it's nice, but like simfiles, you can definitely make more interesting sequences. Try syncing videos to the song (so they play at, say 130 BPM instead of 90 BPM) and patterning them in a way similar to what you'd see on DDR Extreme US. If done right, it's quite pretty to watch. :P
Sweet Things: Rating might be a stretch as the file isn't GLARINGLY awful. But in any case, I'm sorry, but this simfile was blander than pretty much any of the food mentioned in this round. This simfile is just too repetitive, song choice being a contributing factor. :/
Tonchinkan Feast: Dang, heavy is very good. The rather quick crossovers might nudge this to a 12, but played out great. This whole simfile is great.

Alright, first file upload of the round! X3 Even though there's apparently something called "Incomplete / Lawrence" floating around in the category but I assume that it's for a reason and not just the title literally being "Incomplete". :P
And I am very excited to present my collaboration with Gameoson. First, I wanna say thank you to him, by the way, for deciding to collaborate with me and helping me make this. You have no idea how much it means to me and I've never been so excited to make a simfile before. ^^; So here it is.
Gameoson: Song cut, Beginner, Standard, Challenge
CuzcoBlocko: Light, Heavy, graphics
This song is a work of art. rikame stepped it (might wanna check it out if you like his style of stepping) for Simfile Shuffle 2015, but it got killed by time constraints! People still began giving HMs to it, and I was confused, so I have to check out the simfile and song. I don't think I've ever fallen in love with a song as quickly as I did with this. Sota Fujimori rocks.
So with that, I've been wanting to restep it and get it the competition action it deserved, but I couldn't do it. I went through like, 5 failed draft
charts (and forgetting about the lower difficulties; that's a key problem that hindered it!), and I eventually decided to give up in July.
But then out of nowhere ZIv Academy II shows up. I did not expect that. I also did not expect to get Gameoson as one of my partners. Nor did I expect to win him over through this song. But it all happened. And now it's finally finished. Challenge is really good, Gameoson did it better than I ever could. I made heavy and light, and it appears that was my weakness; Forgetting to give the lower difficulties a try! Either way, I'm proud of how they came out and I like them better than what I ever could've done with challenge myself. We both hope you guys like this!
I still have to get my collab with Quickman up, but if all goes well, it should be here before Monday!

charts (and forgetting about the lower difficulties; that's a key problem that hindered it!), and I eventually decided to give up in July. But then out of nowhere ZIv Academy II shows up. I did not expect that. I also did not expect to get Gameoson as one of my partners. Nor did I expect to win him over through this song. But it all happened. And now it's finally finished. Challenge is really good, Gameoson did it better than I ever could. I made heavy and light, and it appears that was my weakness; Forgetting to give the lower difficulties a try! Either way, I'm proud of how they came out and I like them better than what I ever could've done with challenge myself. We both hope you guys like this!
I still have to get my collab with Quickman up, but if all goes well, it should be here before Monday!

I tend to rate things lower when songs are drifty and there's no attempt to fully sync it. It makes the song kind of frustrating for me to play. Why am I getting an A or low AA on a 7/8/9? Well, anyway.

perhaps somewhat obsessive to care about this small difference,
but I recut it to fix that

I'm not sure what you mean by "Inception for music game contests" but BMS of Fighters is an annual contest featuring music made by the Japanese doujin community and custom made IIDX charts for these songs. The 2015 edition of the contest was called BMS of Fighters Ultimate 2015, so BOFU2015 for short.
They release a free compilation album every year too called "Groundbreaking" featuring long versions of many songs from that year's contest, which is where I got Milky Berry Sweet Time from. Here's the page for Groundbreaking 2015 if you're interested:

Lol I'm pretty sure it's a screenshot of a DDR MAX bgvid Cuzco made and he added xXMouko98Xx to the bgvid rendering for some reason. Im pretty sure it has nothing to do with the simfile.

No really, I genuinely didn't notice the easter egg I added to the movie carried over to the graphics! I guess see it as a way of saying "Mokou's files are gonna be good this week, you should check them out". :P
Just to clarify, Mokou actually has nothing to do with the simfile (Rock The Club). It's still just between Gameoson and I (CuzcoBlocko).

I suppose I'll have to fix the speakers to say nothing or perhaps "Cuzco"/"Gameoson" instead. :P
On another note, my collab with Quickman isn't happening anymore. Complications happened and he said he's not interested anymore.That means I have a slot open again now if someone still doesn't have a collab yet!
Ergh, I feel awful. I might be taking it too seriously, but I know Quickman splitting is my fault because I handled critiquing his side completely wrong and that's why it's not happening anymore. I don't even think I deserve to be in this week because of how irresponsible I was. ;-;
Edit: darkanine has taken the slot! Prepare for an unexpected plot twist! (hopefully, we only have like 3 and a half days to make it lol)
