At the very least, they got rid of that overly-shameless design for Jenny. This is the first time in forever where she's been given attire that hasn't presented her as some teenage freak.

Is there still a "genre sort"? I've never seen what's actually in the game/anime and variety folders, and I wonder where the Tohou songs lie.

Yes, there's still a genre sort. The Touhou songs are sorted under "Veriety". I predict that they will get their own folder, if UMU, Gumi, and HinaBitter could have their own folders (former two are gone now) then Touhou could as well.
If you like, I could link to you the song list video I posted earlier or I could list all the songs out.

I now truly have all songs on singles Expert (there are no challenge yet btw) PFCed.
