I'm still confused about how a DDR movie would work. Maybe if it's involving the characters in the game, sure. But I'm fairly certain that's not going to be the case. All roads lead to Man Joins Tournament And Hijinks Ensue and that makes me kinda disappointed. I love DDR but the concept of making a movie about it just feels kinda Pointless™.

Honestly, you should expect this movie to be stupid and terrible from a storyline standpoint. There is either "a dude sucks at DDR and then doesn't suck at DDR and wins tournament" or "characters that have about two defining characteristics talk for a bit". If you can hope for one thing from this movie, it's for it to be a documentary.

A documentary about DDR sounds like the best option for a movie to me. I'd rather watch that than a movie where people save the universe by playing DDR. There's at least 20 years of material to work with too. It'd be pretty cool to find out where the idea for DDR came from, concept ideas, and why the revival with SuperNOVA happened.

(Personally I like DDR's songs better overall but I think that the average DDR chart at the time wasn't as good as the average ITG chart)
