Xanadu/Xanadu beta/Last Thing On My Mind <-- look for my nightmare fuel post a ways back.

All the exclusives to the re-release of DancingStage had art that was hacked apart from 2ndMIX songs (which predated that release). There's also a background to jacket duplicate now that's really funny when compared side-by-side.

"This hat hurts"
Let Them Move uses a rap scratch sound in the beginning that is also used in Mirak's Overdoser.

I really wish someone somewhere could really rip Dancing Stage Internet Ranking Version so it can be archived and get its data ripped. It would also be pretty nice to play it too Tongue

Also, I found out a few days ago that CELEBRATE NITE on Super Manic on Dancing Stage featuring True Kiss Destination is exactly the same as the version found on later releases... Minus one thing. The True Kiss Destination features ONE more arrow. lol Might want to look at the two side by side and see where that arrow might be.

Sexy Planet's charts (on Super Maniac and Maniac) are also exclusive to True Kiss Destination.

99% sure it was done. I remember getting it YEARS ago from DDRUK. Sadly, I wouldn't be able to tell you where the files are now, if I even have them.

The files on DDR UK were not ripped from a disc from what I was told. Those were all custom made.

I know for a fact they weren't ripped; the songs ingame are covers although they are credited to their original artists on the banners. If I can find a Dancing Stage Internet Ranking I'll try and get the whole CD ripped if any still exist and anyone knows where one is in the UK?

Oh my goodness you would be my hero! I think this is the only version of any DDR game that needs to be ripped still too.

Maybe you can ask this guy here...

Its the only videos I have ever seen of the game.

According to the (most likely outdated) Machine Database of DDR:Freak, there are machines in Lolford (UK), Stevenage (UK), and Bierges-Walibi (Belgium)

Oni, does Derby Tenpin still have that Dancing Stage or did they bin it in the end?

I remember hearing Maidenhead got rid of theirs so just wondering...

(And the Dancing Stage on the Isle of Wight is apparently the first one (with the 8 songs from 1st/2nd Mix, no exclusives)

Don't quote me on this, but I think the beginning of the mode select drum beat in DDR S+ is based off the Amen break.
Also, it's possible to get exactly 1000 max combo after a few songs in DDR II, but I forgot the songs and difficulties.

The files on DDRUK weren't ripped. I recorded them as line-outs from the machine, and then cut CD -quality MP3s to match the line-outs (sans the announcer), before giving them to Lawrence, along with video of the songs being played.

I remember Internet Ranking Version had a decal on it that said "Some songs in this game may not be performed by the credited artists", but as far as I can remember, Uh La La La and Last Thing On My Mind definately weren't covers. It's Like That sounded musically indentical to the MP3 I had, but the vocals sounded a little different, as if they had a filter on them? I think the sticker was more likely related to the fact that several of the artist names were incorrect, or were actually remixes / remakes that were only credited to the original artist.

Thought as much, though I could have sworn Uh La La La and Last Thing On My Mind in-game sounded completely different to the originals last time I played it in Maidenhead.

As you guys have probably heard before, Battle Without Honor Or Humanity is one of the most used songs from DDR. Its most famous roles have been in Trailers for Kung Fu Panda and Kill Bill.

Blah blah blah and more and ect. You know it makes me wonder why they haven't cracked out most of the DDR songs out for a spin on the trailers. It attracts fans and new players.

Battle Without Honor or Humanity is not a DDR song. It's a song that was in DDR once.

Speed Over Beethhovan is one of the most used songs from DDR. It's most famous roles are being performed in the court of the emperor of Hungary, and incidently being used in an obscure videogame 200 years later.

Neither do any of the songs that originally appeared on the DDR Club Versions.

I'm pretty sure Hungary doesn't use SPEED OVER BEETHOVEN as their court song. I think you're thinking of the song SPEED OVER BEETHOVEN was based off of, which was NOT the Ode To Joy and is rather Fur Elise. Unless Hungary likes to have parties in their courts. o.o
