That chart had the most jumps and is definitely out of place at the spot. The others are fine. I feel as though PH got a Beginner, Basic, Challenge and 2 expert charts.

Paranoia ~HADES~ on old scale rating should be :

Single: = 4, = 8, = 9, = 10, = 12

Try to rerating again on Stepmania. That is more accurate from my calculation.

PARANOiA ~HADES~ Expert is fine, I like it, fun chart.
Challenge is excessive and silly, but since no 18 has failed to achieved that, it may just be an 18 thing.

After listening to PARANOiA ~HADES~ so many times since it came out, I don't mind the Challenge Chart anymore. I can hear the places where they tried to fit in more arrows, even the 75 BPM part. The death run follows no rhythm unless you count the fact that it sounds like it's building massive momentum like sprinting to the finish line.

The Expert receives a thumbs-up for me.

Difficult is garbage in my opinion.

Basic is basic. It's not exactly easy but it has no shenanigans other than stepjumps at that speed. Beginner is second place for most steps in a beginner song so it's more like a basic to me.

Also Trigger Expert is good, I don't see much wrong with it. Trigger Challenge is terrible.

I just don't understand the logic that everyone else uses :{

DDR had a scale of 1 - 8
DDR 3rd Mix had a scale of 1 - 9
DDRMAX 2 had a scale of 1 - 10
DDRX had a scale of 1 - 18

I can see what you're saying, in regard to Edit Data and way the scale is graphicaly depicted, but the easiest song is a 1, and the hardest song is an 18. It's hard to explain to new players "Oh, songs go from lvl 1 to lvl 20.. But there isn't a lvl 19, or a lvl 20. They just go upto 18".

It's like saying the original DDR had a scale of 1 - 10, and they just didn't bother making any 9s or 10s for several years after. They're obviously just going to raise the cap higher and higher as they go along, to accomodate harder and harder songs. If DDR X2 is the last game, they might not even make a 19 or a 20?

I realise I'm going to take a massive rating dive, every time I point out something stupid like this, but I'm not being malicious or contentious, or anything like that. This just doesn't make sense to me, so I'm going to come out and say it. I think DDRX rates songs on a scale of 1 - 18, with 18 being the very hardest songs in that particular game :{

I see where you're getting at, but no, the scale is 1-20 regardless. Why Konami is holding out on using level 19 and 20, who knows? If this wasn't the case then all of the 18s would be 19s and 20s already.

At least in X2, they removed the difficulty bars so one could make the case that it only goes to 18. Since they did that, it would be less annoying if an 18 was the hardest song in this game.

It clearly was intended to be a 1-20 scale in X. If it were intended to be 1-18, everyone wouldnt've been lead to believe it was a 20 before all the songs were unlocked.

WHY THE FUCK NOT? back in the day people thought that DDR shouldnt have SSS(old scale, 3rd mix. 1st and 2nd stopped at SS for an FC) because no one would get all perfects on anything(remember that while it happened on easier stuff the AAA craze didnt really kick in heavy until 7th mix. anyone remember when yasu AAAed afronova and everyone called shoop?). the bottom line is players ARE MFCing songs. Why not have AA, AAA, and AAAA? it just makes sense. there is NO point in having the grading scale stop at 99%. its like saying ITG shouldnt have quad stars. its fucking stupid, and it feels very incomplete. AAAA should have been added to courses on extreme, and to game mode on SN2. its that simple. hell, we can even keep the full combo, perfect full combo, and marvelous full combo things that appear. ITG was very clear on what the cut offs are, and it still had those along with your grade.

You misunderstand. People are discussing DDR here. Nothing that ITG or Stepmania did should ever be considered for DDR. That is the view of people like Aegis. This ranges all the way from things like grades awarded, to rounding the points on the arrows.

Yeah, I love ~Hades~ , it's really good and fun. I've almost AA'ed it (usually hit around 937,000), but with the jumps off on I can usually low B it. Same goes for NGO.

Yeah, playing a chart with no mods is fine and dandy, but when i just try a hard 9 or 10 without the excessive jump charts, my shins usually don't die. Looking at you FELM

Although PARANOiA ～HADES～ is a 7, but Fascination ～eternal love mix～ has the highest level for . It's a 9.
So far there's no 8 yet.

I think Fascination ～eternal love mix～ 9 is overrated though

Honestly, FAXX Single should be rated at 3. Not 7 or even 9. (That means FAXX on old scale rating = 2 footer)

FAXX on beginner have less steps and easy pattern even on high speed section.

But Paranoia HADES has more steps with pattern 2/4 . So, it should be rated at 6 than 7. Or rated at 4 on old scale rating.

FELM = absolutely hard 4 footer so it perfectly rated at 4 on old scale rating or rated at 6 on X rating.

Trust me, i have strong sense about calculation of foot rating.
