It's a great song for sure, I'm really stoked we have it. That and Mothership are the standout ones for me this pack. Rock Me Forever also came out of nowhere, I didn't realize all of the history associated with the label/artist in the tech-para scene.

Last weekend I took a trip down to Jersey to Jenkinson’s South Beach Arcade Point Pleasant NJ. I noticed the StepManiaX there is gone. It was there earlier this summer of 2024 but they removed and didn’t move it or replace with another rhythm game. So I wanna ask am I allowed to remove it off of the ddr tracker? Or can someone else do it?

This update was meant as a tribute to him, and he wanted to make some tracks to celebrate his older style and do new takes on things!

It was great to get this live for him to see in person during the huge event at Red Note last weekend!

I wasn't exactly quiet about what was on my October drop wish list, and the fact that y'all put so much time, care and polish on this one absolutely blew me away, surpassing anything I could've hoped for! That you somehow did it on the normal fast cycle you normally make content at is incredible, and I gotta say the kind of treatment of you all give to artists, events, and players around your game is why I run tournaments for SMX instead of something else.

It is funny that we got like 12,918 different Paranoias and Trip Machines and Max songs in DDR and I don't think anybody complained whenever a new one dropped. As soon as the orignial artist of those songs makes spiritual entries into the same series in different games, people have a problem. It's like people genuinely think Konami, the company, made those songs instead of Naoki, and don't think he's allowed to do that anymore after leaving them.

For clarity: I was more referring to the song graphics being blatant expies of DDR song jackets, not Naoki's existence in the game at all, or his use of familiar aliases, or the music itself. This is in addition to the fact the StepmaniaX features music that has already been in DDR before. So, yes, StepmaniaX keeps invoking thoughts about a different game.

Naoki can use whatever alias he wants for his songs, that's his style.
