I think the overlook on the PS3 has GOT to Change...The Brought back the old DDR Rating system (1-10) but they removed the infamous Banner work... and taking into consideration that it will be released in May... I am hoping some chages are made...
Considering that they're likely (but not definitely) going to use the X2 interface, they'll have brought back the 1-20 system. Personally, I don't think that changing the whole interface is a dealbreaker because it's not the main part of the game. But still, at the moment I rather like the look of it. A little bit Pump-esque.Post #843 · Posted at 2009-12-12 03:02:18am 15.7 years ago

It's about time they changed the interface. I've been wanting this for ages now.

But the the way they have the pics set on the "Music Select" Screen, i cant stop thinking "MungyoDance" when I see it. I mean... Full BG pics... Album shots..it kinna looks like that. but lets see what happens. I am just hoping that if They DO give it an X2 AC look, they DONT incorporate the 1-20 Rating System...Its confusing
Side Question
Do you think... Because its PS3, They will ACTUALLY include the Grade "AAAA"?

About Hades being hard: i personally think thats the best boss song to date and the perfect successor to Survivor Max. I think we need to see more of this and the EVOLVED series.
Point 2: the next canon CS DDR will likely be on the PS3 and it'll reflect X2, most likely.

Word. After the "Roppongi EVOVLED" series, I HIGHLY agree.. there MUST be more EVOLVED series in the future.
and I looked at the chart for Hades... I looked at it, on autoplay... just to study it, then at PSMO...
the mindset changed... I do think it is a good successor... I guess what really made me think negative about it, are the turns... they are correct, when they seem INcorrect.

Not just Roppongi, I'm gonna repeat what I've already stated many times before and say that tokyoEVOLVED badly needs an appearance in AC DDR.

Yeah let's stick with 8th note streams at 300+ bpm for all boss songs, that'll surely remain innovative and fresh for many years to come.

By the same token, there are a lot of new comers who think that if the chart is harder because of anything other than speed and 16ths, then it's a silly chart. The fact of the matter is, no matter what they give us, we'll play it.

I'm a jaded veteran. The difference between something like NGO and ITG is enormous.
I thought NGO was really good. I think Unreal is great, because it has sections that are completely original, and don't feel like anything in DDR *OR* ITG.

I'd love to see any of them in an arcade game. It's become the staple Boss Song for the "Main" DDR development team, though, so I'm sure if it'll be in DDR X2. It's the first AC game they've worked on since Tokyoevolved.
The Extra Stage would be a lot more fun if you didn't know in advance which of the 3 versions you'd be getting

I also think EVOLVED songs need to operate the same as they do in Hottest Party (random choice between 3 versions), not just on the Extra Stage but in normal play too.

It's a 1-18 rating system. I'm not sure why nobody's noticed this..It's a 1-20 rating system because not only did they say that before the first X location test, but they allow edits to have difficulties ranging from 1 to 20, not 1 to 18.

They should make them choosable like alternate versions in IIDX, and if you don't choose a specific version (or it's on the Extra Stage) it chooses randomly.

You know... come to think of it.. That would work...See.. the way I was thinking about it, was like beatmaniaIIDX15 -DJ TROOPERS-. The Extra Stage Screen would show off some sign and such... the Music Select screen would lock up, the difficulty Locks up, you lose control of selection and the Doors close showing some Dark banner that Says Unknown, Only so when the song comes up, it shows the EVOLVED Version you would be playing as an EX Stage... but thats my thought
