I've noticed my rating fluctuate from 49.6 to 50 and every time that happens I see maroon stars on my profile. When my rating was exactly 50, there were only gray stars on my profile.

What in the rating algorithm makes this happen?

I wondered there's a plus(+) besides the member status (eg. Member+ or Banned+ sth).
What does that plus (+) in the member status mean?

You'll need a user rating of 50pts or higher before you can upload simfiles, or you can ask user Aegis to add you to his 49 & Under category.

I have no problems requesting a simfile category for users with below 50 pts and making said user a co-owner, but it would be under the condition that the pack has something more than just "[Username] simfiles". For instance I'm working on Crossover Spectrum that focuses on streams with crossovers with varying difficulties.

Absolute bare minimum requirement would be 0 pts though.

That's very nice of you, but, no it isn't. Don't try to manipulate people into stepping with that specific style and contributing to your pack just so they can upload files.

Crossover spectrum is just an example of something different than [Username] simfiles. ZIv summer tournament is another example too, I'm just saying that if someone would like a category for a pack they're making, they can ask me to request it for them and I can make them a co-owner so the user can upload and edit simfiles in the pack. That doesn't mean I'm forcing them to step a specific style, it is THEIR pack after all. Sorry if there was any confusion.

I hate ratings. Once I was on the chat and my rating went from -10 to 20 instantly.
Which is most of the reason I don't really care about it other than having the 50+ points to make a simfile category.

Ratings don't do as much as they used to, so it's not really anything to be particularly worried about. It's more of a reference now, but even then that's giving it a bit more much credit than it deserves.
