No, you should really check the first post in the thread.
Everything has been re-rated to fit on the 20 scale. As was said before, 15 is the new "easy 10" mark, with MAX 300, Paranoia Survivor etc. And then the harder 10s are above.
9 footers are around 14-13 and so on etc.
Pie posted a scale a while back, see if you can find it.

I guess. I think this new system is cool, finally I can say that I can do a 10 footer
lol. I think its a great idea, even though it's going to take a few weeks or so to get used to it.

Ha ha ha...10 footer now was like 8 footer. But this is confusing. If we get all DDR X simfiles and put them on our StepMania, what do you think about foot rating? 10 footer DDR X has different taste than old 10 footer rating, and many songs will have red letter because rated at least 10 and more than 10 footer.

Maybe we can just translate them into the old 1-10 scale?

The resign why is probably because in the DDRSN location test, only like 5 people got to Chaos.
But with SN2 it become super easy to get the OMES. I almost feel cool doing it.

It depends on the theme you're using. Cyberia Style 4, for example, does not change the color of ANY 10-footer.Post #850 · Posted at 2008-07-19 11:05:25am 16.9 years ago

You can open the SM and/or DWI file and change the # difficulty. as for not being a red song, that depends on the theme you're using.Post #851 · Posted at 2008-07-19 11:10:21am 16.9 years ago

Wait, if 13-14 is the new 9's, why is Dub-I-Dub a 13?

Dub-I-Dub's Maniac2 steps (I.E., the ones that were featured in Party Collection) are actually pretty tough. They're pretty tiring, but they can seem a bit easier because the song is a bit short.

Yeah, the new DUB-I-DUB steps follow the lyrics precisely during the chorus, with jumps at the end, so you can imagine how that turns out.

Hoo...Extra Stage songs for DDR X looks very difficult than Fascination MAXX or Pluto Relinquish. I hope 13 footer is the highest rating for DDR X, not say higher than 13. But can you imagine about 13 footer songs? How do you feel when you dancing/stepping on 13 footer songs?
I'm guessing the *ahem* 20 footers will be equivalent to 13's.Post #855 · Posted at 2008-07-19 03:55:12pm 16.9 years ago

I wonder is a 20 footer would have over 700 steps?

It's easy to change what songs turn red in SM. In the theme folder, open the metrics. In the [SongManager] part, there's an option called ExtraColorMeter. Change that to any number you want. It only works if the Heavy steps are at/higher than the selected number though.Post #858 · Posted at 2008-07-19 06:24:08pm 16.9 years ago

But it's longer than the average DDR song.PHO has 6.7 steps per second compared to HotN's 6.9.

Here's my report of the test:
First some of the best players in the world are there. I saw a guy who has 1 on FAXX and the first person to AAA chaos.
Also, Kaze and his friend Dave were there, pretty cool people.
There was about an 1.5 to 2 hour wait to play, which sort of sucked balls. It's pretty boring seeing the same songs played over and over and over again, luckily grand feats were being done on the SN2 machine, so it wasn't a complete waste.
The pads were solid, they were super sensitive. At times I was just moving my feet inside my shoe to hit arrows. I didn't really like how they felt though, probably just an adjustment thing.
The screen is really nice as well. Much much nicer than anything I'd seen before.
Unfortunately, that nice plasma screen comes at a cost, there's a huge delay between when you should hit the arrow and when you see the arrow.
For visual players this will be a problem. If you hit what you see, you'll probably get a good.
If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.

What if you're a blend of visual and aural?
