Nope, you can't until the song is COMPLETELY unlocked (i.e. turns green).

The song will be red until it loses FINAL STAGE/EXTRA STAGE/ENCORE EXTRA STAGE status.

Well so far the only songs that seem to "fit" as Extra Stages are Hades and Relinquish, since they're the sort of extra stage songs we got with MAX through to Extreme.

Wait, they still have the 'AA Final Stage to pick whatever ES difficulty' rule, right? If so, then Surely, someone could just see the Oni steps easily?

Nah, if you AA a CHALLENGE song in FINAL STAGE it'll default to EXPERT difficulty for EXTRA STAGE.

All CHALLENGE difficulties for FINAL STAGE and above are locked until the songs themselves are completely unlocked.

Someone's gotta beat Relinquish now that you can just tackle Pluto.

the thing is, you have to AA unreal which has no oni steps.

according to ray, even if you random a song with challenge steps(as you can AA a random final stage for ES) it defaults to expert like al said.

There is only ONE option until they release the songs...

Finish Boss Rush SN2 Version which starts out with one of the top 5 hardest songs. Not to mention TMPC and NGOC aren't pushovers. The only edge anyone would have to play the challenge version of the songs named after the former planet is listening to the song and memorizing the stops and bpm changes.

By the way, if you mess up during a song and you pass it in a course, does the bar get refilled to the fullest when you get to the next one? If it does then that means 3 errors per song which is extremely slim. If it doesn't well... we will have to wait.

No you don't regain health every song. I believe you regain one health during the whole Boss Rush, should be after 4th song which is Pluto Oni (I think?)

It was that way for Boss Rush Episode IV. 4 Health at start and one extra after FaxXO to beat HDVO with... It seems only one person has completed it, Jboy or something.

I dont know if he completed the oni stage...

Well, the thing is nearly everyone plays Trip Machine PhoeniX on 2x or 3x speed. Last I checked, you can't boost the speed on a course (or do anything at that). I played TMPC on normal speed and it sucked big time. I passed it with an A but it still hurts the eyes and its very easy to mess up. Can someone say 16th spam?

Yeah, on 1x it could mean trouble; at least you don't have the jumping madness that is on the EXPERT chart.
