Got some info from a DDR player's blog about Final/Extra stage stepcharts.

SABER WING:

It's around 220BPM, and is a 13 on expert. The chart is very tiring. It has a small area where there are lots of stops, similar to the area in CHAOS's later half (Remember where the arrows are all scrunched together?). Then there are some BPM changes, where the BPM decelerates a little bit with every arrow that comes up, then the BPM accelerates again when a freeze arrow comes.

ON THE BREAK:

It's around 170BPM and is also a 13. This song is easier than Saber Wing. There's a BPM change during a freeze in the middle that is a little tricky, but as long as you can keep up with the rhythm, it's easy to pass.

I got to try out Saber wing some time.

Reminds me kinda of Volcano/Unreal being FS/ES from the SN2 test, BPMs and all. Saber Wing looks like a lot of fun.

Whats the deal, is there no Encore Extra in this game? I would actually prefer it if there wasn't.

DDR X uses a more accurate difficulty rating system... in what way?

I think the person who was posting was referring to how much easier it was to sight-read than Saber Wing. The chart was tiring because there were a bunch of stops/BPM changes, but On The Break was easier because there was only one BPM change and had a steady BPM besides that.

But yeah, maybe they just needed an Extra Stage song (They didn't have an OMES, after all. Maybe the KOs aren't quite ready yet) so they put it in there and said "Zomg 13, we'll change it later when it's not ES."

I noticed Max Unlimited is a 16... So is Fascination MaxX. I've beatin Max Unlimited and I get killed on FmaxX. Not only that. FELM is a 17. So this new rating system still has it's flaws. Let's just hope they fix this on the final version.

I still say On the Break is not the Extra Stage.

Hoo...Extra Stage songs for DDR X looks very difficult than Fascination MAXX or Pluto Relinquish. I hope 13 footer is the highest rating for DDR X, not say higher than 13. But can you imagine about 13 footer songs? How do you feel when you dancing/stepping on 13 footer songs?

I think you haven't been keeping up very well with the information, it has already been stated that the max diff. goes up to 20, with 15 being what today we know as an "easy 10" (max300, tlom, etc)
