I can't help but feel like at this point to get a better chance of actually clearing it some of the players who are getting there need to start getting more attempts and playing it a bit smarter. Considering they are already spending ridiculous money on multiple attempts has nobody considered getting several e-amuse passes charged up to be on the credit they get to try the song yet so they can get an attempt like once every 5 minutes rather than the 20 or so they currently take?

For what it's worth fairly convinced there's gonna be more stops/bpm changes comparing it to previous OMES boss songs but that's not the stopping point right now it's just the sheer difficulty/unrealistic target score and the only way around that is just to get better at the song until something comes up they have to learn again.

Is this a post leaking event content ? (shouldn't this be removed ?)
Edit : Seems like someone posting on an alt account, should be removed as well : )
If anyone wonders, nobody passed the song yet.

Well, now I know what the reddit mods meant when they told me that posting a video of me playing A20 Plus at home was a poor choice with what happened in the community recently. Yeah, leakers suck. It's one thing to get a no longer supported game, it's another entirely to get the most recent game with ongoing support and ruin things for everyone else.

Don't you love it when people are so miserable in their own lives that they have to ruin things for everyone else too

Like damn. I wonder why they're miserable in the first place

Well, sadly the full song and the full stepchart was already leaked like 3 weeks or a month ago. I'm pretty sure Fefemz already knows everything and it's just a matter of practice to clear the song

I hesitate to use the word "sadly" since 鳳 has so many BS gimmicks on top of the raw skill needed. During the livestream clear attempts, there were several stops and similar that Fefemz obviously already knew about, despite the stops being 'never seen before'.

I should seriously do a count of how many gimmicks are in 鳳 and compare it to previous Encores.

==========

Somewhat subjectively:

CHAOS: 35 non-trivial stops. (The first two stops are trivial, and after you see the "four stops in a row" gimmick once, you'll already know what's coming the second and third times.)

Pluto: 30 gimmicks (24 stops, 6 bpm changes without stops). A stop and a bpm change at the same time isn't double-counted.

Trigger: 18 gimmicks (in practice, several are pretty obvious).

roppongi Evolved ver. D: 19 gimmicks (17 stops, 2 non-trivial bpm changes).

Valkyrie dimension: 19 gimmicks, semi-arbitrarily counting the gradual speedup as 2 (one to notice it and one to notice the continuing pattern), and the stop section as 6 stops (with the pattern of six repeated four times).

Tohoku Evolved: 7 gimmicks, counting the beginning as 1, and both stops-into-massive-speedups as 2 each.

Egoism 440: 18 gimmicks, counting multiple bpm changes on one freeze as 1, and counting the nonexistent stop at the end as 1 (it looks like it's going to stop and then doesn't).

Over The "Period": 21 gimmicks, counting the four slowdowns at the beginning as 1 each, the stop-into-speedup as 2, the wavy section as 3 (speedup, slowdown, and the unintuitive arrow on Standard), the freeze afterward leading back into the main melody as 2, and the six stops as 1.

Ace For AcesStandard: 17 gimmicks, counting every stop separately.

(not bothering with Ace For AcesHeavy since the stops at the end are obvious after paying attention to Standard, which drops the count to lower than Standard's)

鳳: 58 gimmicks (41 stops, 17 bpm changes) so far, skipping the 2 obvious stops at 636 and 637 combo before the Egoism 440 sample begins, and skipping the bpm changes in the long freeze before the first stop.

I noticed this immediately as well. The stops didn't seem like the kind that someone would be able to predict on a sight read. Then again, it's FEFEMZ and I'm nowhere near his level (despite having played for 20 years) so...what do I know?
If it ain't no natural law, then you can keep your regulations. 'Cause if I like it, I do it.

"five minute white boy challenge"
We should just assume anyone seriously going for the clear has seen it. Sightread or not it's a 19 that demands you get, like, 995k on it.

If Fefemz has seen it he's doing a very good job pretending he hasn't he just reached the next set of stops and is watching back on his phone each credit to work out how to time them. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually hasn't seen it and is keeping it genuine but really as everyone else has said it's such a ridiculous set of requirements it's probably the only way he's going to do it.

I do feel like this has been the first OMES song out of the past few though where nobody really cares about going for it, i think most people have just accepted it's too much money to grind out. I certainly wouldn't want to pay that much for one attempt at it (thankfully in the UK we just aren't allowed to even have the option...)

While we're going on about EXTRA STAGEs, did they ever announce a new EXTRA EXCLUSIVE song?
Also known as d-feather.

More active on Twitter nowadays. I'm also probably the only casual DDR player with an eAmuse pass.

The arcade game just runs on a PC, so if someone can get access to the data they can do what they want with it like copy it, take it home, crack it, and mod it to unlock all the songs. Or someone who knows how to do that kind of stuff can get the data from someone who has access. I didn’t think the build of A3 with the event was out like this, last I had seen people were going nuts trying to figure out how to get a build working but couldn’t.

Nope, we're still on Eon Break and Pure Rude as exclusives.

For "fun", here's a list of how much money and time you have to spend per Encore attempt in previous events.

(This doesn't count unlocking the Extras and Encores in the first place, like RDi's Nitro gauges or that staircase minigame thing from A, which I recall took 8 hours on a new account.)

(This counts an event song as 3 minutes, an arbitrary short song as 2 minutes, and failing out of a song as 1 minute, including all the animations and downtime)

Pluto Relinquish / etc.: ¥100, about 13 minutes (2 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 3)

Valkyrie dimension: ¥600, about 57 minutes ((2 + 2 + 2 + 3)*6 + 3)

Over The "Period": ¥720, about 57 minutes

Ace For Aces: ¥820, about 16 minutes (1*7 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 3 + 3)

鳳: ¥1080, about 21 minutes ((1 + 1 + 1 + 3)*3 + 3)

"five minute white boy challenge"
Worth noting that FEFEMZ has been able to select Tohoku Challenge, fail on the first step, and then get into it again within about 10 or 15 seconds. Repeat three times, clear one of the three Challenge charts, then do THAT whole process two more times, and you're into Hou. You can get through the three fails in under a minute and then the Extra in about 2, making it more like 10-12 minutes.

Seems like with these events the amount of money gets bigger and the amount of time playing the game gets smaller.
