(which they COULD , they are now purchasing DDRs instead of PIUs)
I honestly wish they'd keep purchasing Pump It Up. There are too many DDR machines in the US and not enough Pump machines. And I'll take a TX cabinet over a Betson cabinet any day.
Also Andamiro issues encrypted USB drives for people who aren't plugged in so they can at least upgrade. It's a dead simple thing to do... Konami simply doesn't want to do it.

One of the other major issues about e-amuse ever coming to America is the fact that you need a static IP to run the service in the first place. DDR X was officially released with e-amuse in America, but no one bought it for a few reasons...
-Static IP
-Cost
-Needed to buy/rent a special router
-Need internet access
-Wasn't very well advertised
-DDR X was fucking expensive

I'm surprised that you didn't mention this on the other page in response to me. This is basically what I was alluding to.

There aren't that many GHACs in other arcades. There's more Fast And Furiouses.

To be honest, I get the idea of a Guitar Hero AC machine, it just wasn't executed right at all.

Fixed that for you. It's still fun. From playing X2, PIU and GHAC in London, the latter was by far the most fun I had between the 3 (even if it wasn't perfect). PIU was probably a close second. The less said about X2 the better.

I think I missed a post because it threw me to the next page once I responded. I was also engaged in talking about eAmusement in terms of user profiles, not eAmuse in terms of software updates. I think there would be a much bigger urge for some people to hack the system if it meant giving themselves AAAs on every single song as opposed to getting at that updated .ssq file.

Fixed that for you.I honestly think it looks more like the 360 version of Guitar Hero II.

This is one area where Konami owned the competition even though they did it in another country; GuitarFreaks XG is a thrill to play.

This is why I hate socialising online. People seem to take any chance to patronise me and try to correct me on what I am or am not allowed to find fun.

It's not a .gif but it shall be posted. You can't have a proper argument when you don't make sense.
Darn it, if there are too many DDR machines where you live, just ship them to some dead part of the country who doesn't have enough.
SN2 would be lovely to have.
As for the newer ones... they need to work first. :\ The chains are the only people rich enough to have X/X2 usually and most of them don't even have the rights to mod their pads to working condition, do they...?
