Well, JNC is a distributor, rather than an operator (though they do have some machines out on location, IIRC).

Anyway, the bigger problem is availability of kits - I'm not sure what lead times are like now but a few months ago it was looooooooong.

That only works for home versions. Getting the jun side is 33% chance in arcade.

I have another question xD

In the ddr web editor, i cant use the library manager option...and that means that my edits in the machine are called "BETADATA" and of course is impossible to set the dancer name...

Also, i tried a few edits from internet, from someone called Darqs or something else...that guy says that he only created the edit foror australia, and then, he renamed the file into "DDR_EDIT_U" and also "J", and the file works. But when i change the name into "DDR_EDIT_E" it doesnt work. the machine detect it, but after this the edits arent in the edit data folder =( so i dont know what i can do for that the edits works.

PD: important edit, the edit data from that guy, has a LOT of songs in one file, thing that is impossible in europe cause the web editor doesnt work.

thanks for all!

I know it's been a month since a post was made in this thread, but I feel that this is rather interesting. You know how people complain about the step images lagging after hitting them? Well, it turns out that every time you hit a "Marvelous", a star appears above the step zone!

Here's what showed me:

(I'm sorry if someone noticed it before, but I just felt the need to mention it...)

Indonesia also has DDR X! (maybe from 1 year ago)

What kind of USB memory stick can work for the edits? I used some flash disk but it didn't work. Also I'm a bit confused with the language in the site, could someone explain to me how to make edits?

Any USB should work, since DDR X is running Windows XP and it should be plug and play. But please Correct Me if I'm Wrong, my friends have tested different USBs and they works.

All you need is a Japanese DDR X CS Version, make edits there, save them to USB, then bring your USB to the arcade and play that edit.

Will flash disks that already has data inside work? Or should I empty it first?

Sorry for tthe bump but you're talking about X edit at the arcade and i'm very interesting with this at the moment.

I managed to put 2 working edits at the arcade (on a European cab) using the online editor (yeah i'm crazy).
But, i saw that you talked about using the CS version.

My question is, how do you do this ? Do the game detect the usb easily ? Is there something special to do ?
I might try with the Europeen X CS version if i can find it. I have a japanease SN2 but i think there will be a "region" problem right ?
Like on the online editor : edit done for japanease won't work on europeen cab.

I almost wan't to make a separate topic about the edits but it's realated to X so i don't know.
We should share stuffs (tips, edits, videos, ect) guys Smile

The DDR X cab we have here is JP version.

It doesn't need any special treatment.
And we use the method explained above.
(make an edit through DDR X JP CS, save it in an USB, then plug the USB into the machine).

And it works.

Wales only has one (japanese) DDRX, so this is the only way I've ever seen it done.

I think the *new* cabinets only accept edits done via some online Java / Flash editor? I seem to remember lots of people complaining about that :{

We have the upgraded cab and the "new" cab (those with light sticks) here.

And the CS method works on both type of cabs.

Speaking about DDR X, I know that the E-amuse is offline but if I were to go to a DDR X machine and put in my E-amuse card would it still work?

No, all the data is drawn from the server, it isn't stored locally on the machine.
