"Let's get this movin'"
nice song.
Looks like we're getting a lot of IIDX16 songs into DDRX2.
Maybe more from Jubeat Ripples too.
=)

OH. That, or the *CANDY from GitaDora, either? Okay, weird. No, I thought it might be.

Double-stepping: I think the first to really emphasize the concept was either La Senorita virtual or ORION.78 -civilization mix-; but only near the ends.

end of the century says hi.

EotC CAN be alternated. ;) I've done it plenty of times, in fact. Even GET UP'N MOVE can be, too; if you consider that. But then, I suppose not considering that would make GUM the first one then, wouldn't it? Or maybe even PARANOiA, but that's not too difficult either.

Even then, La Senorita Virtual and Orion .78 civ Mix can be alternated without too much trouble. The fact of the matter is, double stepping is valid way to make a chart tougher and it doesn't mean the chart is always bad. It's a part of the game and has to be mastered just as cross overs, gallops, spins, and the Afronova walk. There's good ways to use double stepping and there's bad ways. And Kyz, don't you dare try to twist these words into something like "all charts have to have double stepping" or some bs like that.

Anywho. I wonder what the "theme" of this mix will be. Since there's quite a few IIDX cross overs, it will be interesting to see what the over all theme of music is, that is, if there is one. I hope we still get some Darwin in this mix.

Don't worry, just because you didn't understand my last reply doesn't mean you're bad at reading, and it doesn't mean it was a bad reply. Wasn't it more fun to read once you mastered it?

*shakes head* sad

Was there ever a release date for this? I know the PS3/XBox 360 DDR will be coming out in a month or two, I'd be anxious to see if this DDR correlates to the next gen releases.

Ah, which would possibly put a US release at around the new year, based on X's release. Then again, I think we'll be lucky to even see a US release. Supernova was a success as far as getting it out there, SN2 was meh, X was terrible. It seems Konami has just given up on promoting DDR outside of Japan.

Even if they can't work eAMUSE, they should see if they can work some kind of personal stat tracking. This is why I see Initial D everywhere I go; you can get the card anywhere, and start playing and saving your stats immediately.

Also, the game needs to be playable. By this point, they should just give up on X, cut their losses, and maybe try again if they're willing to put the effort into it. X's release was fumbled so hard, and they tried to pick it up, but even all the effort in the world can't really save the bad taste X has left. I appreciate all they're doing to try and save it, but I don't think it will be enough.

it was a dead argument. the post that killed it? see the part at the end about "all songs can be alternated".

get up'n move, paranoia, and even trip machine are slow enough that even back then spinning wasnt a huge chore. end of the century on the other hand spins you around quite quickly, almost giving the idea that they made the chart with double stepping in mind. i think thats the big difference. its not the first chart to include double stepping, but it seems like the first one made specifically for it. if you get technical about it, all songs can be alternated/spun, so this conversation doesnt even need to be taking place.

Here's my verdict on EotC S-Heavy:

I would rather double step than spin on it.

About them coming up with some way of saving stats without e-Amuse, can you use a card to save scores on a machine that isn't connected to the network?
or does no network=no card use?

This. I can understand providing premium features for eAmuse subscriptions, but having personal stat tracking I think would bring in at least a few more regular players. Not to mention, the eAmuse features get discontinued after a period of time, leaving those who get an older mix late left out in the cold if they depended on eAmuse for stat tracking. Even Supernova 1 keeping track of the high score for each song at the very least spurred on month long competitions between me and a few players by coming back to a song and seeing one's score was beaten, making us want to take it back.

As far as I know, no card = no stats as the stats can be accessed from any machine hooked to eAmuse

LOCAL MODE will not trigger the e-AMUSE functions at all. Sticking your card in the card reader or swiping them across the reader will not trigger anything either.

Not all SuperNOVA songs have been removed, just the licenses (save for GOLDEN SKY).

Just out of curiosity, what qualifies a song as being unnecessary?

cool story bro
& daiz, probably his opinion is what determines that, because that's the only thing that matters in the creating of this game
