The major fault I see with your list is that you have I'm so happy and Theory of Eternity in there when the US version of the game doesn't have those songs at all.

Then it seems I play on a Japanese X2.

Also I may be wrong, but don't I'm so happy and Theory of Eternity appear after Valkyrie Dimension on the list? I'm pretty sure I saw a video awhile back and they appeared at the end.

I must, too. Either that, or somebody at our arcade knows how to hack a dedicab. (Which COULD explain the song order shuffle as well.) I'll see if I can get a video capture sometime this week, but on my little old netbook here, I can't guarantee it'll be HQ. May be hard to find/create a good vantage point, as well...

Yeah, it seems it does. I play at Camelot, the only X2 in town; it's just off of CA-99 and California Ave.

IIRC, they appeared with the MAX unlock code enabled. (...the first one.)

@KTz, isn't it so easy to find out if you are playing on a Japanese/Asian cab? I'm pretty sure you play on an upgraded cab, don't you?

Sadly, I wish I could; but I lack the hardware for that. I'll probably end up pointing my laptop (and it's internal webcam) at the screen and scrolling through the tracklist. Otherwise I'd have plenty of gameplay vids on my YouTube!

Well, Dancervic, who has as of late, started recording and uploading arcade songlists, claims that he uses a laptop with an S-video port and some recording software, but I don't think it also records audio (may need an audio jack).

Mine has a network port, a RGB-output port, mic and headphone jacks (but an internal mic as well) and a trio of USB ports. Also, somehow I doubt I'll be able to play well while holding and aiming the cam. >.> It's kind of a make-it-work-for-now cheapie. lol

Is your warning screen written in English or Japanese? And when you go to "rin to shite..." or "NADESHIKO," what name is displayed?

The screen is English. I think I may of gotten mixed up with another X2. I think this one is just a North America cabinet.

And come to think of it, our pads are pretty kickass/solid, and we've got about 5-10 pros in town playing 15-19s pretty regularly. Pretty sure it's not a Betson. No idea where the Betson cab DID go, though (unless they just replaced the pads).

We'll chalk it up to the fact that the arcade may have fixed/tweaked the pads. No one knows how to plug in an old or JP new pads on a Betson cabinet other than Konami.

Oh, and the warning screen on the Asian X2 upgrade cabinet I play on is in English, except that it is to be used in Asia (except Japan), Australia and (I think) New Zealand. Ktz3002 should check the countries/areas where it should be used to properly determine the region of the cab.

That's just not true. Anyone with a good background knowledge about the wiring and how the pads work can wire the old pads to the machine. It would likely be an awful mess of wiring and might actually work even worse (since the machines are built to only work with the pads that come with the machine), but its definitely possible to do a project like that.

A cell phone video would do for me. Film the pad, then the bar (it's shorter and fatter than other DDR cabs), then the bezel and screen with "I'm so Happy" and "Theory of Eternity".

Also get the software version number at the top left on the title screen?
