Here's hoping DDR X2 brings new joy for us that are stuck in the EU or Americas with laggy DDR Xs with questionable pads.

Personally, good riddance to DDR X.

Again, I'm really sorry most people got shafted on DDR X, but they really did do a good job with it (only exception being songs and licenses).

X2 is going to capitalizes on all their mistakes and hopefully release it for everyone's enjoyment.

We can just hope and wait now.

DDR X isn't that bad.
I only feel upset on some stepcharts such as Tracer's.

Overall I thought it was really forgettable, especially after SN2.
I really like the boss songs, but most of the other new KOs were pretty blah. (Lift You Up? Take a Chance? bleh)

For me, it's not really the game itself that's bad, it's the piss-poor US cabinets that ruin the entire experience. I'm sure if they either made upgrade kits or made better cabinets I would enjoy it a lot more.

PureBlue : Yes, this ! EURO cab are like US ones (screen lag). This really ruin the cab.
I can still get some AA but playing on those cab is UNFUN and FRUSTRATING.

When i see DrD's video, i see that he really enjoy the cab and that there is no lags.
I hope for X-2 that we all get a good cab.

Hey, I like those songs! =P
Playa, Taj He Spitz and Dance Celebration are high on my list, too. I just don't care for the Jena Rose songs.
Play my game Arcana Seal of Rimsala (SNES)!

Is it really still so hard to import an Asian upgrade kit into Europe or America? All the X machines I've played on here in Malaysia and in Singapore are upgraded machines ranging from 1st to SuperNOVA 2 cabinets. The one within walking distance of me was probably a 2ndMIX, aside from a darker than normal screen and the constant attention the sensors need it's perfectly fine.

Add: I agree with TimeSpaceMage, X has more unique songs I frequent than the two SuperNOVAs put together.

Yes.

Here, we can, but, its more expensive importing the upgrade than buying the dedicab itself.

How does that work?

Probably shipping, tax, and the lot. Shipping Asia->Asia is much easier than shipping continentally. Weakened currencies our end doesn't help matters either.

DDR Dance Dance Revolution X 11th MIX Arcade Very NICE

Here's an American listing for an entire upgraded machine, 10,300 USD (I'll bet they could be talked down to 9,000). Says it ships only to the US but reading the description makes it sound like their willing to ship it anywhere. That takes care of the lower 48 states, but would it really end up costing over 20,000 USD if someone tried to bring that into Europe?

It wouldn't be as high as $20,000 USD, as that's over the asking price of a new dedicab in the UK which is closer to $15,000.

Forget the price, the main problem is actually getting the arcades to actually import. Most of them won't.

Yeah, I was going off rateiosu's comment about the upgrade kit costing more than a new cabinet and had in my mind the Japanese cabinet... as I still can't imagine why people would pay more than 5 grand for that other cabinet.

This machine looks sexy and I bet its excellent.

Hopefully one of these 3 machines imported can end up near an arcade near one of you guys.
