The SuperNOVA purge was not as bad because we got a ton of kick ass songs from crossovers and CS games in return, some that have never seen the light of day outside Japan like PARANOiA Respect.

The X purge was worse because the new songs in X were mostly garbage.

I never thought the series would last this long, I figured they would run the well dry and have no ideas left years ago (you could argue they already did). Then, out of nowhere, dubstep entered the fray, and now DDR is probably good for another year or so.

I didn't mind the SuperNova purge either. The X purge was the worst like Pandy said. X was also the worst mix in my opinion.
(Though I don't mind R3 leaving. Same with Im for Real. both songs are trash.)


On topic:
I'm excited about DDR 2014 coming here to Dave and Busters!
And it's coming to my area! (Or as it seems)
And good thing it's Konami doing the cabinets. Not Betson/Raw Thrills.
I want to see the white cabs in person.

I can agree on that to a certain degree. Even though I didn't really *hate* the songs there (I especially liked Saber Wing AIHM), the biggest problem for me was that the majority of the new X songs were too... easy. It felt like that as soon as they changed the rating system, they must've been feeling afraid of putting out songs that would've been "too" difficult, and IIRC around 50% of the new ones had a rating of 10 or less.

R3 is a universal treasure, the only excuse for it being removed is so arcade players stop doing the bar hop and pretending they're freestylers.

I don't like it because of the chart and the vocals do not fit. (JP MILES does better that that)
The song deserves much better with it being instrumental and deserves a good chart.

We could debate DDR's song list over the years oooor we can rewind and talk about how lovely The Night Away is since I overlooked it in all that OTP and Kind Lady talk.

... R3 was the stuff. Iono, I liked X for unpopular reasons (ex. the cabinet design), but maybe it just (unintentionally) lowered the standards for X2 to look really neat by comparison, thus making DDR look appealing as a whole for a bit. Just a guess.

X was bad because it tried to be western in all the wrong areas.

I'm also still waiting on an original song from Camellia to show up. EDM Jumpers isn't going to cut it for me and Ignition is just biding time. Give us the 2016 update already.

I liked R3, it had an old school techno charm to it. I wish we got more tiger YAMATO songs like R2 or V35 crossover to DDR before Reo Nagumo left Konami.

I wish R5 got ported to AC. It being a CS DLC exclusive is Ultimate Stinky.
Same with R10K, I guess, but R5 is the better tune and better chart imo js

I think it was mentioned a few posts earlier that the cabs are coming straight from Japan so NO Betsons or Raw Thrillz cabinets are going to be in those Dave & Busters.

I thought people liked the SN/SN2 cabinets?
