I just hope they choose a good manufacturer for the cabs comparable to the JP/Asian cabs.

I would be shocked if Konami so quickly forgot what happened when they location tested DDR X and then rolled out something that wasn't DDR X.

(They didn't make the same mistake with DDR X2, but then we didn't discover that DDR X2 sensors had short lifespans until later..)

I wish the UK had something comparable to D&B's.

Approximately nobody asked for this song to be included. Least popular decision by the Japanese since Nintendo released the Wii U.

It's already been posted like, 3 times in this thread that if a US rollout occurs (which seems likely at this point) the cabinets would be manufactured by Konami and shipped overseas. There would be no outsourcing of cabinet builds.

Which probably makes the chances of a European, and doubly so UK, release so low. Even if they rolled out the cabs here...where outside London would take them?

The closest we have to D&B is Butlins / Pontins, and they, like all managed arcades would rather a Euromix 2 machine over any new DDR release Sad

I wish there were D&B in the Sf bay area. All we have are movie theatres with barely functioning SuperNova 2 and X games. SoCal gets them, why not NorCal?

Yeah, I see your point. Honestly, I'm lucky to be even REMOTELY close to an X2...

We had a Disney's Tsum Tsum location test at the D&B near me, so eAmuse is already set to go at that location. Here's hoping they lifted my ban by now. Roll Eyes

Hollandaze - There's a D&B in Milpitas over at the Great Mall. But, they may not get one since Round1 is nearby.

The closest D&B's to me is in Ontario, and that's a bit too far of a drive; I'm surprised R1 hasn't made any form of announcement so far, especially since Tsum Tsum is now a permanent thing there, and they appear to have a more intimate relationship with Konami than them. >>

I've never liked Dave and Busters due to how over-crowded and expensive it is - not to mention that the bar-like atmosphere makes me feel like I'm in the back of an alley, - but if they truly are getting DDR 2014, I'm going to try it. I've been waiting too long to get off StepMania and try the new song packs from DDRX3-onwards legitimately. I'm sick of my family telling me that my AA on Saber Wing Satellite Silhouette Mix doesn't count; now I gotta try it for real!

Also the BEFORU Songs were removed due to liscening issues unlike other songs in DDR X that were removed (except for naguero who left and Konami had to remove his songs due to contract issues). The BeForU songs were revived after BeForU themselves broke down and went defunct and the record gave back Konami the songs.

Konami always owned the original BeForU songs. The girls were discovered from advertised auditions and Naoki produced their music. When they changed careers (and some of them changed labels) their history stayed with Konami. It never "went" with them or to anywhere else. The reason they were purged was because overnight they went from heavily promoted to dead. Same with the song Evolution in Lincle. Terra went from being a key feature, to gone.

Nagureo only composed in-house for a single year. Then he worked as a contractor for about 5 years after that. Konami owns all his Bemani stuff too. He was purged from DDR sort of accidentally when the substream folder was purged. And I guess the sound directors just don't like Luv to Me. A lot of his old stuff is still in IIDX, unless it was cut for sounding old or having a bad chart or something. (That's my opinion.) There is no "contract issue" with his music. It was made under contract!

DDR and IIDX now clearly identify licensed or credited songs (like Idola) with white text on a black background. DDR does it during the attract loop and IIDX does it when you pick a song. Nothing very old is credited in either game. I'm sorry to keep bringing this up, but my post summarized in a single sentence was: "fans have started a lot of rumors regarding copyrights". And you replied to it with more rumors.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

More importantly - I'm super excited that D&B is getting some new online DDRs! I'm not really thrilled about the bar atmosphere either, but at least smoking indoors is banned in Massachusetts, so the stores are comfortable anyway. And last time I went in there and got sweaty on their DDR machine a waitress brought me water. So that was cool. It doesn't sound like DDR is a D&B exclusive game after all so make a big news post when Konami starts taking orders for them.

But wasn't BeforU under 2 diffrent labels for a while? Or is that at the same time Konami still owned them? I know konami still owned the rights to their songs when BeForU was under the AVEX label. But what about when BeForU was under Gambit? That was when KONAMIX removed most of their songs in all BEMANI games. i do know that are a lot songs that were removed DONT have anything to do with contract issues. (Like most of the removals in DDR X) Like midnite blaze or Hyptonic Crisis. But, what about all the songs Argue Phine sung in? All those were removed from all BEMANI games. Unless if the sound director really hates her songs. (I dislike End of the Century, though.)
