yet again, no double digits for me
And it seems it wasn't that bad of a file, just not as good as the others, and I agree, this was a great week. I think WOW WAR TONIGHT has better steps, but knowing how this goes something's bound to be off in the community's eyes. (also I think Mokou submitted it)
[ROUND G] song submission is in. I messed up the preview, but outside of that I think it was a better choice than what I originally intended. Might put the other one into the backup pile then.
Vote update. I finished all of the Heavy charts in one hour. The majority are really confusing and require practice, so I won't vote until I know the well-placed and good gimmicks from the unnecessarily tricky. Good thing I've got 2 weeks.
Also, why are a bunch of you using gray notes? I noticed a majority of you used them this week, and it's a big contributor to all of this confusion.

Ghost Street was submitted to the backup pile by... me. Cool
Haha, I suspected you were involved with that song. :P
Now let's see if I can correctly guess Gameoson submitting Star Scat...

I really disagree with everything you said. Not every file needs to have lots of 8th or 16th streams. I would rather play a fun file than overstepped garbage.
See, this is the problem I ran into with Braeden47's challenge charts with Sharaku, Get Off My Lawn, and this one part in Showdown. All of them have completely unnecessary 24th streams at 170-200 BPM (scoring at 277.5 average; 1,110 arrows per minute!!!) I mean, yes, you can hear it in the music, but sometimes 24ths just aren't good.
As you do, chewi, I enjoy files that typically score into the 7-8 footer range. There are some files in here that just really shouldn't be forced 10 footers. However, some 9 footers are also good. KISS TO KISS, submitted and stepped by Nezemarth, was close to a 10 footer. However, quite personally, I like that file. Somehow, that entire file actually feel fun to do. It looks like it can burn some calories from you too if you play it on pad. Previously, he overstepped Tamagotchi. To be fair, the song sounds difficult to work with at first, so someone commented that he attempted to step every keysound to make it challenging. Sounds fine, but that includes some 32nd rattling (232 BPM 16ths). Which doesn't fit the "relaxed" mood of the song.
I made TRICKL4SH 220 a 10 footer because it practically calls to be one. However, every other file I've got, I've made sure to keep it under 10. Youkaisai Sandou is my easiest file so far. It has a perfect balance of quiet and dense parts. How I do it is if the song feels dense enough to be hard, I'll make it. Otherwise, it'll score in the 7-8 footer range.
For instance, here is how I would have handled all of the files in Round E (I didn't check what didn't get steppped);
Dead Wrong; 7 footer

FIGHT!; 8 footer

Gatorix; 9 footer

Ghost Street (Mandarin Version); 7 footer

Go Beyond!!; 10 footer

Hopelessly Devoted to You; 6 footer

New Horizons; 8 footer

Oppa's Car; 8 footer

Sapphire; 8 footer

Say My Name; 7 footer

Star Scat; 9 footer

Super Fantasy; 9 footer

TAKE A LOOK AROUND; 8 footer

It's entirely possible I did, and equally possible I didn't. Guess we'll find out eventually

No, xXMokou98Xx obviously submitted Jollipop. Because think of the past two weeks, Gameoson has been exclusively getting Mokou's submissions. This week should PROOOOBABLY be no exception.
Maybe.

Sheets have been updated with the names. Go check them out.
If you like to see the graphics and all that, click here.
(I can't seem to edit my posts on locked threads anymore, so a picture will have to do. No difference anyway; you still can't quote it.)
This week is the break period.
Don't vote for ROUND F steps. Do it after the break.
ROUND G shuffled list will be shown one week from now.
Enjoy your break!

....wow. Nezemarth submitted Hopelessly Devoted To You. O.o He usually tends to submit eurobeat/eurodance.
Be careful when sending western ballad songs, though. A lot of the time, they will turn out to be not an exciting file to make. My submissions (with the exception of Round A) tend to have solid beats and run around 120-140 BPM.
I'll probably throw in a curveball for Round I (I already decided my Round H submission).

Huh, I didn't even realize there was a second Caravan Palace song submitted. I would have liked to see Lone Digger stepped as well, too bad about that.
EDIT: Yeah, I'm probably gonna step Lone Digger just for fun. Thanks for the inspiration MRace.

1. In other words, Cuzco submitted With you...
2. Gray notes aside, my votes are ready. Due to an odd glitch, Natsuiro DIARY can't load on my system. I'll see what I can do later in the week, but for now I won't be checking in on Simfile Shuffle until Monday. Happy holidays to all!

Don't vote for ROUND F steps.
So, I cannot submit votes yet? I'm almost done playing through everything. We extended the deadline for ROUND G skeletons. Why not extend the starting point for ROUND F voting? (I guess I could wait, if you want us to wait.)Post #796 · Posted at 2015-12-22 01:13:37am 9.6 years ago

You can save your votes in a text file and then extract it (updating the totals as necessary) once you are awake and see that the votes have been posted. That's what I did with Round D when the voting period got delayed and what I do if I don't feel like playing through the rest of the files at the time (and when I do, I finish the post).

Actually, I also submitted a slow song for Round C, but that got vetoed. There's actually a pattern to the type of songs that I submit.Post #799 · Posted at 2015-12-22 01:20:43am 9.6 years ago

I think I know what's going on with Natsuiro DIARY. There's a weird ascii problem. Some of you aren't receiving the file correctly. The file shows up for me as "[ROUND F] - sñÅFë¦DIARY -Original Rough Demo Version". I tested 3.9 and 5.0.10 and it correctly showed up in both. I am reuploading the file with the romanized titles.

夏色DIARY probably doesn't show up in your guys' StepMania installations because the filenames have Japanese in them (the files get automatically renamed to whatever the title on the simfile page is set to, which is why people usually use romaji).
