I agree with silenttype, The AC version sounds a lot cleaner and defined.

Also, Area L-01 is a bitch. Do any modifiers increase the number of greats you get? I've not checked through them, because the only mod I bought was the Emi character one, haha. I'm so hardcore. Laughing Out Loud

"I'm honestly pissed off."
e-s-g: I worked out the formulas for the Assist Judge and Assist Perfect modules, and none increase greats. Only perfect and marvelous end up increasing.
I can post what I ended up with for the Assist Perfect and Assist Judge formulas here, if you guys want.
Edit:
Okay, they're posted in the US thread, since that was the game I did the research on.

You could post it here. it's relevant to the game. And if you want, post it in the US thread as well.

Those charts better be added as challenge charts in the next game.

The only advice I can give is to play it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over etc in Speed 1 under the training options. When you full combo it at that speed, move up to Speed 2 and so on.

If you are using a controller and you are used to StepMania, try holding it between your feet and playing the PS2 buttons like the arrows on your keyboard as if you are indexing on StepMania. It helped me to a degree, it may or may not have an impact on how you play. Of course, that depends on whether or not you are good at StepMania to begin with. Confused I can full-combo NGOO indexing on StepMania, but others may not be able to and this method may not work for them.

Another idea is treat each "8th-8th-jump" like a small group of 12ths. My little brother (who is better than me at Stepmania, 5-great full combo on NGOO) tried this some, and it helped him keep his combo very well.

yeah, i tried the indexing way, and that helped at the beginning, but they get tangled up at the ending combo...maybe if i can figure some way to switch from indexing to using my thumbs in a milisecond then i can beat it ;)

I personally find the 4th-note gap between the last "8th-8th-jump" about enough time for you to quickly move your left hand back over to the D-pad, and index with both of your hands separately, one on the buttons and one on the D-pad. My brother always plays like this to avoid tangles, but still successfully play index-style. He configured the keyboard arrows and 1/2/5/3 on the number pad to player 1 and plays with one hand on each directional area.

well, somehow i just managed to beat it...with 852,XXX. but nothing happened...am i supposed to played another song or something?

Edit:
I just realized i only have 91.5% of HMM completed...i thought if you beat all the missions you got 100%

My bad.

Ok. Here some details:

*You can unlock the songs at playtime unlock via, not only Hyper Master Mode via.

*You need unlock all songs included in a Course to unlock the entire Course
(example: to unlock GRAND CROSS -version SILVER-, if you have only SUNKiSS♥DROP, L'amour et la liberté (Darwin & DJ Silver remix) and Venus , so you need unlock STARS★★★ (Re-tuned by HΛL) -DDR EDITION- for unlock GRAND CROSS -version SILVER-)

*This is a good method for unlock boss songs:

Clear a complete set several times (4 or 5 times, mmm i'm dude ... not exact) to play available:

- Unreal ---> Default Final Stage NGO ---> Default Extra Stage TRIP MACHINE PhoeniX ---> Default Encore Extra Stage PARANOiA ~HADES~

User Image

Repeat the process until unlock remaining boss songs:

- NGO ---> Default Final Stage TRIP MACHINE PhoeniX ---> Default Extra Stage PARANOiA ~HADES~ ---> Default Encore Extra Stage Pluto

- TRIP MACHINE PhoeniX ---> Default Final Stage PARANOiA ~HADES~ ---> Default Extra Stage Pluto ---> Default Encore Extra Stage Pluto Relinquish

- PARANOiA ~HADES~ ---> Default Final Stage Pluto ---> Default Extra Stage Pluto Relinquish ---> Default Encore Extra Stage Pluto Relinquish

- Pluto ---> Default Final Stage Pluto Relinquish ---> Default Extra Stage Pluto Relinquish ---> Default Encore Extra Stage Pluto Relinquish

- Pluto Relinquish ---> Default Final Stage Pluto Relinquish ---> Default Extra Stage Pluto Relinquish ---> Default Encore Extra Stage Pluto Relinquish

(between the unlocks, you need clear a complete set (pass Encore Extra Stage) several times until you have in the Shop the next unlocked boss song; so repeat again the process)

*Criteria(s) for Final Stage - Extra Stage - Encore Extra Stage is(are) the same of the SN2 AC
(mods can be selected in Extra Stage, battery lives in Extra Stage, etc...)

*Only boss songs to get Extra and Encore Extra
(Final Stage NGO Expert ---> Extra Stage PARANOiA ~HADES~ Expert ---> Encore Extra Stage Pluto, etc...)

*No songs restricted at Extra Stage and Encore Extra Stage.
(example: you can play Bloody Tears at Extra Stage, but don't get Encore Extra by the SN2 settings)

*If you play in Encore Extra a song that isn't a boss song, you can select this in all levels except Challenge level.

mmm i have a dude:

someone has already cleared BOSS RUSH SN2 Ver. Course at Challenge Course Mode?
