Anyone been to the new Round1 in Pembroke Pines yet?
*** Sorry, it tacked it on to the past post. ***
Meowdy.
I'm gonna go on a little trek in Orlando today. I did an update for D&B, as the pad issues seem to have swapped sides overall. P1 seems good for the moment, but P2 doesn't work well for experienced players. Probably passable for casual players.
I don't know how long ago it happened, but WhirlyDome is now gone. Its replacement, a VR exhibit called Roboland, is "temporarily closed".
I am planning on visiting Magical Midway this afternoon.

Let us know if Magical Midway still has that crappy SN1.
I know Pump from McDonalds is long gone.

Fairly confident Magical Midway is closed. I went when it was supposed to be open, and it looks abandoned. It claims its slingshot and arcade still open, but I found no evidence that it does. Looks abandoned.I know Pump from McDonalds is long gone.
I think things are pretty rough on the north end of I-Drive. Whirlydome is also closed, and the thing that replaced it is "temporarily closed".
Another update: Arcade Monsters opened a second location on I-Drive. It's a different location than the former Whirlydome. Same method of play as the original, $25/day unlimited play, $40/day included re-entry.
D&B is the same as it ever was. Techs can be counted on to fix the issues that crop up. It's still worth playing on. Also, there's an arcade at the UCF Student Union again. Free play StepManiaX. Definitely worth getting something at their bar to thank them.

Latest Orlando update. Stuff happening at The Florida Mall.
A second entertainment center, Fun Factory, has opened just inside the mall from JCPenney, at the old spot originally held by Eckerd and CVS, and most recently a stand-in location for several relocating stores.
According to an Orlando Business Journal article in September 2025, Round1 has leased the first story of Sears. So that will be closing soon at long last. Round1 financial disclosures currently place its opening at F/Y 2027, and it will have its new Round1 Delicious food hall concept included. Being Round1, it will undoubtedly have a lot of different Bemani games, not just DDR; the Cumberland Mall Round1 (Atlanta) has DDR, ITG, and StepManiaX, as well as Gitadora, Beatmania IIDX, Pop'n Music, Reflec Beat, Dance Rush Stardom. and others. The one in Pembroke Pines (Fort Lauderdale) has very similar offerings.
The Florida Mall is one of the few indoor shopping centers Simon has been keeping up consistently, so this could ensure its continued maintenance. And I know many of us have been BEGGING for a second D&B-style arcade for a very long time..
Whirlydome has finally been replaced with Arcade Time. It has a StepManiaX machine and the latest PIU. I haven't been there personally yet. Arcade Monsters still has both local locations on I-Drive and in Oviedo. Magical Midway is long gone. It was razed some time between the summer of 2024 and spring of 2025.
