EotC CAN be alternated. ;) I've done it plenty of times, in fact. Even GET UP'N MOVE can be, too; if you consider that. But then, I suppose not considering that would make GUM the first one then, wouldn't it? Or maybe even PARANOiA, but that's not too difficult either.

get up'n move, paranoia, and even trip machine are slow enough that even back then spinning wasnt a huge chore. end of the century on the other hand spins you around quite quickly, almost giving the idea that they made the chart with double stepping in mind. i think thats the big difference. its not the first chart to include double stepping, but it seems like the first one made specifically for it. if you get technical about it, all songs can be alternated/spun, so this conversation doesnt even need to be taking place.
