Graphics Artwork Thread!

Great job Chewi with all of the graphics, although I'm not quite a fan of the Aegis one. The addition of the plain yellow background is quite obvious to the striped background to the left. I like how the fonts are pulled off however. I like the second POSSESION remix banner more than the first.

Anyway, here are some of my new stuff, one of them being a rush job; guess which one.

Both of these strike me as very authentic banners. Good job, you two!

I've made a few banners of my own for custom songs, but I feel as though they lack a certain..."cartoon-like" quality that you'd find within most DDR banners.

Maybe I should upload a few?

Since the new standard in DDR has become using official album covers (whenever applicable), I'm trying to keep my old-style banners in the same type of design as the album covers themselves. For example, using the same color schemes, fonts, etc. You know, just for consistency.

However, in the event that the song I'm using has a music video, I would use a frame from it as the background for the banner. I think those are pretty cool. I know THIS song has a video, but I couldn't find a still frame I liked enough to use.

If it's a good frame it works. I usually hate it when Konami does this because the frame they choose is seemingly random and, what bothers me the most, blurry.

No, I agree with you completely. That's why I have to be very careful about the frame I choose because of motion blur (from moving appendages and the like). If i were to capture a particular frame, I would like it to have a clear and flattering shot of the artist, you know? Plus, the quality of the videos they use in their background are lower quality anyway.

And just to update, I may have found a frame or two I like...I'll work on it later tonight.
