Introduction Thread

Hi!

I'm ShogunTaira and I got this username from another forum.
No but I really did.
I play rhythm games such as Jubeat, REFLEC BEAT, DDR, IIDX, all that other good shit.
I also produce music and make funnies on SoundCloud. (Name: 531 ice it)
Not really much other than the fact that I forgot to do this once I saw the thread so... hi guys?

I'm TranTheMan8.
When I'm not too busy with school, I play DDR (actually, it's StepMania). When I'm not playing, I'm checking this site for updates on most BEMANI games (especially DDR, IIDX, pop'n music, REFLEC BEAT, and SDVX). When I'm not checking this site for updates on BEMANI games, I'm making stepcharts for other BEMANI songs on StepMania (the song I'm working on at the time of this post was Max Burning!! by BlackY, from SOUND VOLTEX BOOTH). I also play volleyball, but I can't say that I'm really good at it.

The musical instrument I play well is piano, and lately, I've been playing BEMANI songs by ear (most of the time---I use sheet music too!). I used to play violin, but I'm not too good at tuning and replacing strings...heh...

If there's one thing I want though, I'd want Konami to try again with starting e-AMUSEMENT in America, and even bring their BEMANI games here (especially DDR 2013).

There are currently 12 DDR 2013 arcade machines running across the United States. Technically not 'officially' by Konami, but then again DDR EXTREME was pretty much the same way in retrospect (It was never released officially in the US, just brought over from South Korea/Asia/bootlegs)

there is no official DDR 2013 in Round1, they only have X3 I believe because no e-amusement support for America.

Hi, everyone! I'm wildTiger486, and I've been an admirer of the music gaming scene since the tender age of 8. At that point, I had just gotten into DDR and started playing StepMania and FFR. When I started going to anime conventions at 13—Anime Boston, specifically, it's the one convention I'm willing to travel to since I live in Massachusetts—I became exposed to more Bemani and other music games like IIDX , pop'n'music, Pump It Up, etc. etc. I haven't gotten into them, but I'm really interested in playing them.

Fast forward to now, and I'm a regular at my hometown's arcade avidly playing DDR with a few buddies. But since I'm moving to college in Boston at the end of August, I'm gonna check out this really cool place I heard about called Game Underground that's in Framingham. Perhaps I should continue talking about that in another thread?

Anyway, that's my exposure to music games, plus GH and Rock Band.

Uh, I also play violin and guitar if that counts? And I'm turning 18 this Saturday so hopefully I can start digging my feet into the rave scene.

I'm Mike. You can call me rocketto. I actually was a member of this site since 2007 or 2008 under the name "orbitvibe" or something like that. With that, I can't access that account any longer because I cannot remember anymore the e-mail address I used to register it with in order to redeem a new password or something. So, apologies for that.

I stopped visiting this site to focus on my college degree until 2012. Now, I want to pass by this site again to bring back again and reinforce my love for rhythm games that is DDR, Pump It Up, and so on.

You can send your violin to a Sam Ash store so they can restring your violin. I recently had my guitar's strings replaced by them. They charged me $25 for the job. You have to buy the new strings, however.

I have a transcription thread with a few bemani tunes on there if you want to take a look.
