...yeah, um... I don't want to do 270s or spin during a 300 BPM 8th stream. Even if I could pull it off, it's not what I want to call fun. You can do it? Great. But I think I'll stick to charts that don't have backwards facing sections, thank you.

I don't think you understand what it is you're doing wrong here. It has nothing to do with you claiming that the way you play is fun and challenging and that others should try it. It's the way you respond to people on the Internet that's bringing hostility towards you. I have nothing against a tournament with no bar and no double-stepping, I'm sure I made that clear. I even brought up someone who might be up for it. You decidely turned this thread into something else when you claimed that you think it's funny that people "aren't really playing a dance game anymore", turning the thread into a full-blown play style war. It's not your play-style or your suggestion for a tournament with certain conditions that is putting you under fire. It's your complete lack of forum etiquette that does you in.

That was never the argument. A lot of us know it and do it, and find it fun, the same way you do. Your claim that people who hold the bar and play 17s also barely passed 12s and 13s without them can't hold water.

We were never *bashing your playstyle*. What we are against is your extremely arrogant attitude, claiming you are the best and no one has a chance against you. I don't care if that is the truth or not (and frankly, it's not). That is not how you behave in an Internet forum. Elitism is not acceptable, and yes, people can call you out on it for your lack of sportsmanship.

Actually, your posts suggest that you are the one being hostile to people who try to give you answers. You're just inciting others to react to you. I lost count of how many times you wanted people not to say anything about the way you play, yet have bashed on others for the way they play (with bar and/or with double-stepping). Furthermore, your last sentence is a good example of why people respond so harshly to you.

No bar tournaments are still around (and can be arranged), like PaperSak wrote, but adding no double-stepping? That will be really hard to come by.

We already wrote all of this to you. And from that, you started going out of your elitist ways to talk about how you are the "best at this particular style" and that "none of us stand a chance against you". We were just giving you realistic responses, and you took that and turned it into your grounds for arrogance against other players. This is exactly why your thread went down so fast.

I don't care whose thread it is. The "my house, my rules" argument does not apply. This is not your website, nor is it mine. The onus is on all to treat each other with respect. You clearly failed to do that here.
