Z-I-v Summer Contest 2016

I guess it’s time for the contest to start! To kick this shindig off, here’s a theme that will hopefully be a softball for most of you!

The challenge this week is to step a song that features at least one artist that is not yet in the ZIv simfile database before the creation of this post. The goal here is to hopefully introduce the community to new artists that we may not have otherwise heard. A few ground rules:

1 - Artists must show up in the artist tag only! That is to say if your song is “Songy Song (Artist X Remix) by Artist Y and Artist X is the artist not yet in the database, it does not count because Artist X is not part of the artist tag.

2 - Don’t purposefully change the tags to fit the theme’s requirement! To use the last example, don’t go making the artist “Artist X feat. Artist Y” or something of the sort. Artist tags should remain untouched! On a similar note, if the romanized tag of a foreign artist is in the database while the original tag is not or vice versa, it still does not count (e.g.: Potap i Nastja is in the database, so Потап и Настя would not be allowed.)

3 - Remember, at least one artist has to be new in the database. That is to say if a song is by Artist X feat. Artist Y and Artist Y is not in the database while Artist X is, it still counts.
