Man everyone is super hyped for the new DDR I just keep looking at how bad DDR 2014 was as far as all around everything-ness (bad scheduling/planning, sub-par KOs, absurd requirements for event EES) and it makes me concerned for what this DDR will be like.
I mean, I want to be just as excited as everyone else but there's a part of me that's using DDR 2014 as a reference and going "oh man, wonder how this one will disappoint everyone?"
The upside though is that if the trend since DDR X of bad => good => bad => good continues this one will be pretty solid.

I just had a thought. It's a really long shot that'll be passed off as too optimistic, but hear me out?
Don't you guys think that it's a bit strange that KONAMI would wait until Summer 2016 to produce and help distribute DDR 2014-16 to American arcades? You would think that they would produce them a bit sooner.
What if THIS is the game we're gonna get?

To be honest that's what I'm thinking, RGTM, but whether it's going to be the game that America gets (and Europe doesn't) isn't really the question, it's whether it's actually just going to be the same old shit. I guaran-damn-tee America will get some terrible Western licenses for the casual crowd, whatever the case.

I doubt there will be that much localizations seeing how the previous ddr arcade games turned out there in the west

If they localized DDR A outside of Japan, they have to put some EDM and Dancemania licenses too! And also we NEED more trance music!
