Wow, 32 participants for Singles already! This is gonna be goooood.

We got a 32 man singles tournament...



BUMP: Updated the dates. That should be final unless we get a sudden rise of new members for singles and or doubles. Also added a new rule that has to do with the qualifier round and tie breakers.

17. If there's still a tie even after users of both simfiles voted, #1 rank of qualifier gets the say over ties. If songs that are tied are not voted on the 5 songs the #1 rank user voted for, then it goes to who's ranked #2 and so on. This is for qualifier round only

I have a few important questions regarding the whole voting thing here: How do I vote? When do I vote? Where would I go to vote? And, how exactly should I vote (commenting only, voting only, commenting & voting under a certain format)?

When voting time starts, you pick the top 5 simfiles you enjoyed the most that were submitted from the week before. Depending on how you rank them, that file will get points.

1st = 5 points
2nd = 4 points
3rd = 3 points
4th = 2 points
5th = 1 point.

You vote by just posting the votes here in the thread. This will only go for the qualifier round, after that you just pick the better simfile between the two users matched up.

With Astroman129 now there's 32 members signed up for singles. At this point to be out of the tournament, you'll have to A. drop out, B. not submit anything, C. make the worst simfile ever.

If there's 34 people there's odds on that there'll be about ten people on zero points meaning the #1 guy is going to have to decide who gets taken out. Ooh, it's just like the Roman times.

I'm assuming you mean your simfile submission when you say "the goods". If that's the case, once the round starts you upload your file to the category when it's done. It helps to make a post to let people know you've uploaded yours (example from the past Summer Contest), but it isn't really necessary.

Yes, but not at the same time. One week we'll upload files then the next everyone will vote.
