No idea.
I'm British and don't happen to be special enough to own the game yet. I've only heard the damn song like... the once, so forgive me for getting the precious, precious lyrics wrong.

My main point is all these leftover references to DDR that any casual gamer would find confusing.
Past games instruction booklets having screenshots pointing the the difficulties being 'Light, Standard and Heavy', images of the mat being called the 'Dance Dance Revolution Controller' and now a song containing the words 'DDR'.
The official Nintendo magazine even had the cheek to copy and paste information from their American equivalent Nintendo Power(?) about 'Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party'. The only thing that was changed was it was translated into British English.
Sometimes I wonder why Konami don't just rename the DS series DDR and start releasing the American versions in PAL format. XD

ROFL. Haha, you guys get edit mode, but you have to put up with even lamer art. The NA art is pretty lame, but not as lame. I guess it does balance out.

I'll admit the blue and white doesn't look too 'hot' in this case, although I'm torn between the silhouette women with awful hairdos or the lacklustre family image being the worst. I still stand by the belief that Konami are trying to copy Nintendo with the family friendly look and trying to trick people into thinking it's like Wii Sports or WiiFit (even though the latter isn't out yet) and so they are more likely to pay it attention. At least the whitish colour scheme suits the Wii.
All this is merely superficial though and once I'm playing the game it'll look the same as the American version anyway.

Haha, let's hope the game doesn't crash the Wii like Dancing Stage Universe does on the 360... they've really bugged that game up.

I doubt it'll crash the Wii. The US version doesn't, though it doesn't reliably start up unless the disc is already in the wii when I turn it on. o_O

Well I'm kinda worried as they really messed up the US->EU transition for DS Universe, there's lots of DDR references in the DS game lol.

If they really gonna make the CD crash on the wii, KONAMI sure will pay for this. They got to sort it out.

Well the Wii isb't prone to crashing or failing like an XBox, so I don't see that happening. (Although my Wii actually crashed once after trying to get to the Home menu from a game) (And also after I performed some REALLY trippy shit in Zelda).
And just for the record, Wii games aren't on CDs, lukeyboy

My Wii has never crashed or had any problems like that at all... Some internet connectivity problems and the remote sometimes didn't sync properly, but no actual game errors I can recall.
*Continues to look forward to the game even though he can't afford it*
For those who have played the American or Japanese version, which are the best licence covers? I'd say 'favourite songs' but I can imagine everyone saying the 10 footers. XD
Also how hard is it to adjust to using the Wii remote and Nunchuk along with the mat, and what s the quality of the mat (seeing as it's supposed to be official)?

Actually, I've heard all the songs, and I can't find a cover I like...they all just sound inferior to the originals. Yes, even Karma Chameleon. The three songs that I like are Pluto the First, tokyoEVOLVED and, bizarrely, the remix of True Love. Even the DDR remixes weren't as good as the originals (especially Break Down...)

License covers I liked: "Buried a Lie" (even though the lyrics are weird), "Call On Me", "Hot Stuff", "Karma Chameleon", "Rhythm Is A Dancer". I actually think tokyoEVOLVED and Super Samurai are nothing special musically. Not bad, but not great either. And I usually rather like jun's stuff.
I never adjusted to using the Wiimote and Nunchuk. Got confused, stepping and shaking my hand, and felt like the timing was off on the shaking. After I switched to playing without hand motions, I learned that you can just hit the trigger buttons instead of shaking.
The bundle mat I got was fairly good quality for a soft mat. It had a pebbled surface on the back, and enough weight that it didn't slide around like the cheap soft mats I'd used before. I'd say it's usable for pretty much the whole range of difficulty on this game, I got very few pad misses or greats with it. If you've already invested in expensive PS2 mats though, it could be worth your money to find PS2->Gamecube adapters. You'll have to go online to find them, every game store I went to told me they don't exist. And no, you can't hook a mat up to the USB ports in the back and use it that way, I tried.
I like a lot of the KOs, but Xavious said, "license covers", so I didn't mention my thoughts on the KOs.

I really liked the Candy and Love Shine remix.
And their charts? Pure genius.
I also noticed that you can put the video for 1998 into the simfile for 1998 (Sparky 2006) and it practically matches the song.
I was surprised when I heard that Jun made PARANOiA Hades so when I saw the banner for Super Samurai, I knew I was going to be in for a treat. :3
Pluto the First = Awesome
tokyoEVOLVED = Meh.

Well licenses my faves are Karma Chameleon(mainly for the dance), Buried a Lie(my first AA in the game
), Disco Inferno, Rhythm is a Dancer and 99 Red Balloons.
Of the Konami Original, The Reason is great if you have good reading skills and like slow tempo, will just screams freestyle to me, Candy and Love Shine hard 9's(specially Candy), and for Super Samurai I just love anything jun makes

I meant Game discs with loads of files to create one whole wii game and it was called Optical discs. What you said there was the Wii Virtual Console games.

No, I know VC games are stored internally, I was just saying that they aren't CDs, since they're different from the Optical Dsics Wii uses.
