One small problem: I think only the master owner can see who the co-owners are.
If I were you, I'd make a list of participants in the first post just so everyone else can see who's in, okay?

Here's a nice idea that Aegis brought up in the chat:
To avoid having contestants without a song to work on because of a veto, can users not wanting to participate submit songs as a backup for the veto'd song?
This makes it easier for the person that submitted the veto'd song as they no longer need to worry about submitting a second song.
Also, when submitting songs that are cut, are we only submitting the mp3 file or can we also submit an sm file? the reason being is that the person that cut the song would know where to adjust the bpm to accomodate the cut if it ever goes slightly off sync. I think this would make the process easier for the contestants instead of figuring out where the cut was made.
One thing I'd like to point out is that judging simfiles by its "steppable-ness" is entirely subjective and will result in bias when voting. Rather than have a handicap point system setup, I think it's better to just have the contestants vote for the most fun song without handicap.
I'm pretty sure that's the reason why a few members are hesitant to join on this tournament. It's too subjective to keep it fun for everyone.
1. at least
and
are required, any other chart is optional.

I was alluding that the rules does not explicitly state if its singles or doubles. Users can use the implication to do other modes of play (single, double, solo, PIU, etc)
keep things clear and concise as possible =3=
Before or after cutting the song? As it stands now, nowhere in the rules does it state that we have to submit edited songs.
Rather than re-do the song, the contestant should notify the host(s) of the tournament of the situation and receive a new song. This should not count towards their one-time-use veto power. This can be remedied with the proposed idea of having "guests" submit songs.

Yeah, the first post should be updated... but I need Pandy to do that :/
The backup songs idea is very nice. The way I'll implement it is like this: the backup songs will be graded with that week's entry, but after that they will be put into a pile. Whenever a participant needs one (in case of veto or maybe that already-stepped-this-song case happens) one will be drawn out of that pile randomly.
I suppose submitting a SM file skeleton (which contains BPMs and maybe offset) would be beneficial. The receiver will be allowed to make adjustments if needed, though.
btw I did some amendments with the submission system, it's yet to be put on the first post though.
Elaborate on your proposed system pls :3
If we straighten all this up before the week's end, most probably we'll end up with quite a robust system we can re-use.

I think that judging the steppableness of a song is wasted effort. The hosts themselves will get tired of hearing the songs to rate them which creates bias if they participate as well. If the songs are rated rather quickly, then the bias falls on how catchy the song is. It's more pressure on the hosts for little gain. You'll be doing this for more than a week and you would have to set time aside to not only create a file yourself, but to play other contestants' files and judge the songs for the following week. Think about it. You're going to start off with 22 songs to judge on the first week.
It's an interesting gimmick that has potential, but without a concrete formula to review the songs on, it will never be objective.

Right, I'm deciding to pull out.
It sounded great as a start, but...something rubs me up the wrong way about having to step songs I have no way of choosing. At least with the more esoteric themes of SC, you get some kind of freedom to pick a song you like. And personally, if I'm not liking what I'm stepping, it's just not fun at all. And I don't particularly like the idea of taking part in something that's out of my own hands as to whether or not it's fun to do.

I'd like to join.
At worst, it may turn into an interesting chance to explore the 'bad song, good steps' phenomenon

Also if they want to change their song then someone else has to change too. I can see people getting mad that they made a stepchart then have to change the song they are doing mid way in the week because someone else already did their file.
With that reasoning then whoever uses their veto power for ethical reasons will force another contestant into selecting another song. You're thinking that someone will wait until midweek to say otherwise. If they take that long to realize that they stepped the song before then it's their fault for procrastinating. This is a Tournament after all.
And who would honestly re-step a song they have previously done from scratch? I know I wouldn't want to re-do one of my own songs, especially when I consider that my first attempt is as good as it will ever get.

If you don't step the song you are given and don't upload anything else, are you disqualified?

What you could do is just make a bs simfile with like 10000 notes for light, 50 for standard, and 3 for heavy, turn it in, not win the week (unless people like it for some odd reason), and continue with the contest (in hopes to get a better song next time)...because you did turn in a simfile...just not a great simfile...

I'm pretty sure that's not allowed. Daiz made garbage Basic/Difficult charts and people called him out on that.
