I absolutely LOVED this film. It had a good story, some dark parts to keep it interesting, but not overboard, and it pays tributes to video games, and some of Disney's previous CGI work.
Meh, I didn't really like the ending as it's a typical Hollywood happy ending where every single conflict is resolved in the end, but I will admit that the animation and set-pieces are really good. I also think that all the cameos and references are just there for show and have little or no relevance to the story at all.

Miss anything without spoilers?
-In the lost and found were Mario's Super Mushroom, an exclamation point with the sound effect alerting Solid Snake that he has been spotted, and Zangief's briefs. WHY
-The Konami code (up up down down left right left right B A Start) was used to access the Sugar Rush code vault. [Why are video game characters even allowed to access and change their own vital programming in the first place?! I know this is a fictional story, but still.]

I thought this movie was wonderful. The amount of effort and accuracy that went into the cameos was very impressive. I have to say I had a pretty big smile on my face when the X2 cabinet popped up. All around a marvelous movie.
I admit though, the Skrillex cameo seemed kind of unnecessary. I laughed pretty hard in the theater when he popped up though.

"Nature: Naughty" |
Finally went to go see it today. Good movie. Would watch again. Spoiler'ing crap, because it started with background wall graffiti and I don't know how safe we're playing it in this thread.
I know they're just video game characters and all, but did anyone else think it was kinda graphic for a PG movie when Kano ripped out that zombie's heart during the villains meeting?
Also, I cried like a bitch when I thought Ralph was going to die by diving into the diet cola volcano while reciting that villain's motto or whatever it was. I mean, it's Disney, so I should've known better, but still...
Enh, I wouldn't throw this in with the "video games turned movie" category. Like someone said before, it's like Who Framed Roger Rabbit in that it throws in plenty of cameos, but it's not really based on anything. As I see it, the "video games turned movie" category is still pretty shit aside from a few exceptions like the first Mortal Kombat.
I like to think Afro slaps bitches, Rage PUTS HIS HAND THERE, and the rest probably spend their off-time drinking or something.
Except Zukins.
Fuck if I know what they do.
I thought it said Aerith Lives
Also, the wall that said Jenkins on it.

...but because it was a video game movie to give justice to video games turned movie.

-The walls of some of the game entrances include game references and terms such as PWNED, and Aerith Died.

Endless partying and dancing from all the characters, I assume?

Possibly brilliant explanation: Fall damage doesn't exist in Sugar Rush

I finally got this movie and I'm very pleased with it. I smell a sequeal. Though it was lacking in bonus/extra materials/features.
anyone noticed All Your Base Belongs To Us written on the wall?
Ok how many in here believe that Jim Cummings who did the voice of Dr. Robotnik/Eggman from the SatAM series did the voice of Dr. Robotnik/Eggman in this movie, I know that he didn't receive any speaking lines aside from all of them saying Hi Ralph or Hi Zombie or when they all chanted the Bad-ANON motto?
