Make another universal game (PS3/X360/Wii). For PS3 and X360, make it so you can share edits online. That'd be great. I'd probably share mine and make it so people here can download them.
Groove radars.
Put it on the new scale & transfer most Konami Originals from 1st-5th mix, including club mixes & solo mixes. Maybe add some older licenses, like Papaya & Smile.dk (basically Dancemania).
Bring back solo mode. And maybe make 12-panel mode (doubles with solo) or even 16-panel mode (doubles with Octomove).
APPEND: Downloadable themes. I'd love a Party Collection theme. And a fun unlock system. Kinda like DDR Ultramix 2, it wasn't all just completing songs. You also need to AA songs or AAA songs and stuff.

-License list closer to that of X2's. X3's license list feels really empty, even now that the 2ndMIX licenses are unlocked. Revival licenses are cool, but basing almost the entire license list off of revivals irks me. I like the little batch of revival licenses we had in X/X2, it felt like a little treat with every game, that's what I'd like for X4 (our presumed name of the next game for now). And note to Konami: there are plenty of iconic licenses that appeared AFTER 3rd mix, how about exploiting some of them? But a big yes to the new oni charts for the 2ndMIX licenses.
-English vocal songs not featuring "generic utah area vocalist". Lately DDR has been overusing this generic crowd of unimpressive vocalists from Utah. While there a few choice vocalists from this batch, most of them are pretty underwhelming and it's pretty rare these days that anyone compliments the vocals on a DDR song (TOMOSUKE songs a notable exception). There are plenty of great Tokyo-area native English speaking vocalists out there (Carol Gadsden from X3's Fever is one). It's kind of baffling they use these no-name vocalists in America (which must be quite cumbersome for the composers) when there's perfectly good, legit singers in Japan who are perfectly cheap to snatch for a song (I imagine anyways). It seems the CS market was a big inspiration for this behavior, so now that that is out of the picture for now, perhaps we can get some rest.
That's it really.

I think if they were to make another AC game that would find it's way to US arcades, it would need to be able to run on Extreme/SN hardware. It would be easier to find an arcade willing to upgrade if it were easier.

At this point they need to offer a trade in program for old 573 cabinets. Every single public DDR machine is in such a state of disrepair that I would never want to play a new mix on them, it would destroy the experience.
Let arcade owners send back the cabinets (or at least the kits) and get credit towards a totally new and well built, this time machine.

For CS, I would be willing to grind the shit out of the next DDR if it had some sort of character-customizer/dress-up RPG mode. I hate playing alternate modes for song unlocks, but I would instantly waste my time playing songs to purchase clothes/accessories/note-skins/UI variants.
For an AC, I want Kyary Pamyu Pamyu on it, or even better, if PPR was an actual freaking mode.

I wish for LESS J-pops (or japanese songs) in the next DDR.
I miss the kinds of songs from the 3rd mix era.
And yeah, Kyari Pamyu Pamyu's Pon Pon Pon will be sweet

for the AC scene:
-Licenses would be a big thing: J-POP, AMERICAN 80's and 90's hits (cause those were always great songs) and euro hits.
-more 14 level step charts that rival songs such as Fire Fire or Second Heaven's
chart.
-a different announcer (i think it's time for a new one)
-Use of USB so that you can download firmware yourself and unlock events such as the EVOLVED TOUR so that e-amuse or going into the operators screen isn't the only way to achieve this.
for the CS scene:
-with Wii U, add more songs (more then 100 songs at least)
-with online (which will hopefully be better) they could have weekly top 10 songs, shareable edit data, online course rankings, online battle mode
-EDIT DATA (for the love of god, please return edit data)
-DLC such as a events (which include a set of songs) or stack of songs (cause i wouldn't wanna buy 1 song at 1 or 2 dollars)
that would be my dream stuff for now anyways

More than anything. Just. NO. "!!"
Somehow I know they're gonna. They should at least put in Friday, Dance Floor, and Hollaback Girl in this case if they do, for "most hilariously bad song course ever." And that's not counting Nyan Cat.
Speaking of hilariously ___ songs, I would rather nominate Parry Gripp's "nom nom nom nom nom nom nom."

-Dread and Janet outside of 2nd Mix Mode
-Licenses from the later Dancemania albums
-License revivals from 4th Mix, Max and Extreme
-Maybe more Beatmania crossovers (a lot of them showed up in DDR Extreme; not much for Supernova 2 onwards)
-And maybe bring back the option to choose your characters; DDR X2 force us to choose random all the time.
And I really wish Konami would be more considerate with the unlock codes. Why on earth don't the DDR X2 unlock codes work in JP and Asian cabinets? And there still aren't any unlock codes for X3. (must be because of money issues)
Well, at least those are my dream wishes for the next DDR.

-More completely original songs (not CS transplants, not revivals). DDR X4 vs. Nothing!
-More challenge charts for songs that deserve them.
-More KOs from beatnation artists.
-More KOs in general.
-Keep the CS team out of it.

New composers (in addition to TAG, Tomosuke, U1, NAOKI, dj Taka, etc.) and new vocalists who can actually sing (especially for English songs)!
Drop jun as an independent artist. (No more jun boss songs!
)
Make 6-Panel mode available (ala Konamix) on all future mixes (increases replay value)
Add music speed rates from x0.5 to x2.0 so "stupid-hard" 18's and 19's don't have to be made. (If you want your 20-footer, play a 17-footer on x1.5 music rate.) Applies to both CS and AC.
For AC: Wirelessly stream your edits from compatible CS versions without inserting a card or hardware device; via an account. But a hardware USB card should be optional as well.
Revive Trance, Eurobeat, and old-school NAOKI-style speed rave! (Oh, how I miss 7th Mix's B4 ZA Beat and MOMO remixes.)

Am I like the only person who doesn't hate the English vocalists and is generally pretty cool with them? Well, anyway...
Or maybe you'd want to make your own person; the accessories could still be used on your own character, then.
I always thought you could snazz up Battle Mode a little by picking what attacks you want, or by giving certain characters certain mods to make them more special to choose.
... and if they're still using artist characters, TAG as a playable character pl0x.

Remember Freestyle Mode from ULTRAMIX3?
I wouldn't mind seeing that return in either AC or CS form. For CS releases, it can obviously be its own mode again. For AC however, I was thinking that it could possibly have its own mode, or be implemented as a Versus Battle Mode type of thing. As a song plays, it will contain its regular stepchart, but after the first 1/4 or 1/3 of the song (depending on the duration of the song), each player will take turns on different sections of the song while coming up with their own step patterns. How well the player stays in rhythm during these freestyle sections affects their score. Think of it as a cross between the solo sections in the Bust-A-Groove series and the Freestyle sections in DJ Hero 2.

DDR X4 vs 4thMIXplus or X5 vs 5thMIX. Both mixes had a lot of lost content that never appeared in newer DDR mix.
- "CELEBRATE NITE" AND "SEXY PLANET" get their DS feat. TKD videos back, together with their original

- Every song that at least appeared in IIDX gets the IIDX video (same goes with GFDM songs)
- Revive every song (except Reo Nagumo's) that have been removed from SN2 to X
- The Furu Furu Party covers of 4 KO's will replace the original versions, but with the classic step charts mentioned above (much like the "DYNAMITE RAVE" treatment on X2 AC).
- Include guest characters (and also include Alice Gehabich from Bakugan, if Konami could pay the license for that character)
- Add a "Rush Mode" to dance to songs 10% or 20% faster than the normal speed
- Include international licenses (unlike X3)
- Return Korean licenses ("Don't Bother Me" for example)
- Make toasties* PERFECT based, not just combo based
- Have Versus and Double available for a discount (without needing the operator to turn on Joint Premium), but there will be less stages
- Bring back on-screen lyrics display (except for 1st-2ndMIX songs)
* Toasties debuted in SN2, but were too easy to obtain (i.e.: getting a 100 GREAT combo)
IF X4 is going to include the EXTREME mode, I hope that Konami:
- EXTREME will be based on the Japanese PlayStation 2 release, complete with "MAX. (period)"
- Include expandable USB support (Edit Data, Internet Ranking passwords, saved name, Results screenshots, and saved records)
- Have a feature to use on-screen characters or not
- Revive most EXTREME licenses
- Return the Londell Hicks announcer
- Allow Oni-exclusive options available for normal play
- Return most courses that appeared on EXTREME (including all three ranking courses)
