I don't think that the ES or EES/OMES was implemented.

The ES/OMES were both implemented, I was able to access them (on both r2 and r3) by AA'ing final stage to get ES, and AA'ing LOM to get OMES. It's likely MaxT changed a setting that disabled/broke the ES system.

@MaxT: Have you tried to get the ES on a fresh install without changing any settings?

ok I wasn't sure. Most likely I was confusing his simulator against his theme as I have the theme and not the simulator. I should really consider of giving this simulator a go.

to get to ES/OMES, all of these need to be true (atleast):

- final stage is AA'ed or AAA'd, and it is heavy or oni, and 8 feet or up
- you did not enable event mode (you are in normal pay or free play mode)

I have a problem with your DDR extreme.
Every time i try to go to a different menu than the start menu it goes halfway and cancels bringing me back to the start menu. This only happens when i put my pad but if I take it out it works fine. I want to play with the pad though :/

Probably you set your pad to be both the start key and the escape key. Check the mapping once again.

I just posted to say that I have been using your DDR Extreme simulation for many years, as DDR Extreme is the mix I grew up on and is special to me. I even met my wife on DDR Extreme! I have ordered a couple of high quality pads (Omega ITGXs) with DDR Arcade decals on them and plan to use them with this, I simply can't wait. Thank you for all of your hard work put into this, it really shows and means a lot to guys like myself who grew up on this mix. So many good memories.

By the way, if there was ever to be another mix to simulate, I'd say it has to be 5th mix

Wow, this is really really great. The only thing I'm wondering right now is if there is any way to allow Extra Stage for all songs on Heavy/Oni? It's been a while since I've played Extreme, but I'm pretty certain Extra Stage can be accessed regardless of foot rating as long as it's Heavy/Oni. Other than that, this is a really great simulation that feels just like the arcade.

Basically you just need to DL Stepmania from Stepmania.com and then look for the 5th mix theme, though you would have to put the songs in their proper folders then figure out (which this can be the hardest part) how to get the songs to come up in the right order on the song wheel.

Is there a way to make the groove radar act like the one in ddr extreme ? just asking :3

On ddr extreme the groove radar moves faster , and on this one it moves slower in a way, is there a way to make the groove radar move faster like on the one on ddr extreme?

I love this build, but any chance of a PowerPC Mac build? I try tossing the theme into 3.9 on the Mac and it locks up, and I find most 3.9 themes to be abandoned and garbage now.

I already stated I use 3.9 on the Mac. I'm asking for a port of beware's 3.9, so I can use his theme without vanilla 3.9 locking up on me when I try using it.

can you give me instructions for reproducing this?

I watched that guys video a few times, I think the only way to reproduce it is to physically destroy your system.

I know how to reproduce this.

1. Go to Oni Mode
2. Select a course
3. At the screen that says "Challenging Mode" hold the back button
4. The menu will then play the normal menu music, and there will be a difficulty display
5. Hold down the start button and you can access and play with options.

You can also get normal menu music to play in Nonstop Mode by performing similar steps to these.
