Just got done playing some EuroMix.

The EuroMix licenses all have terrible charts, but Magic Alec Presents Resonance is actually a good song. The art is pretty bad, so they'd have to basically start from scratch if they brought it back.

The majority of the songlist of DDR CLUB MIX.

I created what IMO is a solid 14 out of the steps to that song. In my inebriated state, I will even add that I actually know the dance choreography to the song.

Now if 'this' song showed up on DDR, I would say that the "Japanese Licenses" have gone too far...

Did that girl just shit a technicolor rainbow?

That song is like the J-Pop equal of Whip My Hair. Bleah!!

GOOD MUSIC, BAD STEPS:
AM-3P (303 Bass Mix) - The ORIGINAL "Konami Original debuting on a US mix so who cares if the steps are good"!
Feel Good, Inc. - Of all the HP3-era licenses with underwhelming stepcharts, this one hurt the worst.
Flow (Jammin' Ragga Mix) - Most of this chart I can tolerate, but to this day I simply don't understand what the sixteenth vomit before the slowdowns is supposed to be following.
Haunted Rhapsody - I'm part of the generic majority opinion! Woohoo!
WILD RUSH - I know it was one of the earliest songs to have a BPM gimmick (and THE earliest to have BPM changes that weren't either LOVE THIS FEELING's doubling, or just slight unimportant wavering, I think?), but that's still no excuse to pussify it so much.
stoic (EXTREME Version) - Is this the only "...for EXTREME" IIDX crossover we haven't gotten outside of Japan? I haven't played it in awhile, but I remember this having a bunch of ridiculous jump-step streams, and I'm thinking we weren't missing much.
...and most of Club Mix, though I admit I actually like Macho Gang's chart.

BAD MUSIC, GOOD STEPS:
Entry of the Gladiators (Kaz Mix) - It takes a lot for a public domain remix to not sound cheap, and this doesn't do it.
Get Busy - The new license charts in Extreme 2 were pretty cool all around, to the point of actually making me want to play a Sean Paul song, which I will hate them for forever and ever.
PARADE OF THE WOODEN SOLDIERS - I MEAN SERIOUSLY WHO WOULD EVER WANT TO DANCE TO THIS
Tootsie Roll - They pretty much redeemed this artless mess with a chart that, despite the usual HP2 wonkiness, actually worked as a routine to the song. Somehow, it's just fun.

Also, I wouldn't say that THE SHINING POLARIS had -bad- steps, per se; but they could've done SO MUCH MORE with that song. So I'll just say "disappointing steps." Current should be though.

Know what I would call a bad chart for a good song, though? The original ULTRAMIX version of INFINITE PRAYER. They should replace the Double too, now.
