Dazzlin Darlin Heavy should stay an 11. The song's nearly two minutes long and there are lots of notes.

Just tested some of the songs from DDR PS3 and discovered the following: Crazy Love should NOT be a 15 on Heavy!! This is definitely a 14-footer at best. There aren't many 16th clusters appearing in the fast section at all, and those that do appear aren't lasting longer than 3 or 5 notes or so. There are a LOT of 14-footers harder than this.

Did you play it on foot? The step placement is so awkward that it's a 15. The jumps force some really awkward stepping, and the 16ths do too, and the overall effect is just a mess. It would probably be a 14 if the steps flowed better, but it's a trainwreck as it stands.

I can't say I've played it on foot, but I looked at the chart a second time and noticed that yeah, there are a lot of awkward turns to make life miserable.

The ratings are fine the way they are. To be honest, KONAMI made very smart choices with how they rated all their songs. It probably took them a lot of time and effort to rate them as fairly as possible. Taking a look at how many people complain that some of these ratings are not accurate just makes me kind of mad. Please cherish how they rated the songs, k?

I highly doubt it's that rosy. The ratings given out to all the charts are one of a thousand things they had to do to make this game, and it probably wasn't the most important. They devoted what they had the time and money to devote, and no more. And there are bound to be mistakes. Opinions about the exact rating for a specific chart aside, they've never been perfect and probably won't ever be.

The ratings in the new system are about as accurate as they were with the old system. The difference is now there are more numbers rate and misrate with. In either case I only tend see a few glaring errors, and I'm fine with them if just to play the game. It's only been in play for three years but I've already gotten myself to the point where I can tell an easy 12 from a hard 12 and a song that shouldn't have been rated a 12. It's clear that some of us have truly been playing the game lots longer than the people making it and actually do have a better idea about what some charts should be rated.

I don't see a problem with players throwing out opinions of rating changes they would make if it were up to them. For all we know, Konami staff reads these threads and takes them as constructive criticism.

Well, there were some top players from Japan having problem with this chart. It's like heaven & hell. It can't be a 17 based on the score they got.

Blind Justice may be a little hard for a 12, but I'm not quite sure why'd you compare it to Saber Wing. It's not similar at all.

STARS Standard is probably a 10 because of the jumps in the middle and end of short 8th clusters, along with there being a few 8th spins.

NGO is definitely a 15 simply because of the ending stream, if nothing else. A 10-second 8th stream at 274 BPM that includes some crossovers is definitely not something that'd be in a 14, especially when you think about the fact that MAX 300, which is only 26 BPM faster, is basically considered the trademark 15.

True but it is admittedly one of the easier 15's out there since it just has jumps that aren't all that bad. The death stream is something to deal with but it really isn't that much of a 15 in general. Unreal would be a 15 because it has constant stream with a jump jacks up the wazoo. It can also be compared to harder 14's like Chaos.

Konami realised that they've made Standard harder than Heavy (feedback from japanese players as well) & so they've decided to Standard 10, Heavy9

You may look at PARANOiA Double; Standard 13, Heavy 11

So that people won't get confused if someone refers to the chart and another person thinks it's a different chart because they don't have access to the latest arcade version. Also, in the case of the Paranoia doubles charts, I don't think Heavy/Maniac charts existed on earlier versions of DDR.

* Sky is the limit & she is my wife Heavy stay at 11
* Sakura Sunrise Heavy stay at 14. or if konami want a RDA song to be a 15, Pierce the Sky Heavy is ok.
* Under the sky Heavy to be 8 or 9
* B4U Heavy to be 11. if compared on other 10 charts & stepcounts, B4U too difficult to be a 10.
* New Decade Heavy to be 16.
* Love♥Shine Heavy is ok to be a 9, because almost contain with jump. 10 is ok.
* My Summer Love Heavy & Tommy's smile version Challenge to be 11.
* Hysteria 2001 Challenge to be 10
* Sexy planet Heavy & nonstop megamix version Challenge to be 10.

Not so sure about that. I don't find it to be terrible. The 8th streams are only on two arrows. I say keep it at 13.

I think a lot of people don't realize how hard some songs can be because of being overrated/underrated. I've heard people say that Sakura Heavy should have been an 8 on the old scale because it was far too easy to be a 10. This is a terrible idea. First off, it's barely easy enough to be a 9, let alone an 8. Secondly, the middle part is so chaotic and you can't really add a speedmod because of the rest of the song. People always over/underestimate foot ratings based on the current one. Hard to explain.

Sakura Heavy 13 is good. Same thing with Bag Heavy 13. They should stay the same.

However,
